So frustrating Nelson needs to cut the mistakes out, 3 goals in 2 games he’s cost us Canice was responsible for the 1st and 3rd he is learning Harsh to blame Carroll for the 3rd, he got a good head on it, neither mous or nelson had their man or closed him down

Disappointing to be 3-1 up at home and end up sharing the points, but probably a fair result in the end.
Both defensives struggled with the swirling wind particularly defending the fence end.
We missed Ribeiro at right back, Carroll wasn't at his best today, headed back into a dangerous area for their first and got caught out for the equaliser.

Tuesday was a good point. This was a bad point. Not the end of the world though. We played some good stuff in parts. Roll on Fleetwood.

Charlton were far better than Rotherham, who were effective but completely one dimensional. Just hoof it up to the big lad and hope to get a midfield runner or two off him, and let set pieces do the rest. Results are all that ultimately matter in football I suppose, but I was disappointed not to win that looking at their lack of quality. Even if we hadn't ever been 3-1 up I'd still expect to have won that looking at how they played. If they end up in the top six at the end of the season then fair play, they'll have earned it, but if there aren't six teams in this league better than them it would be a shame. They just remind me of Millwall the last few seasons, who I was always stunned to see do well until they eventually bundled into the Championship.

Might be worth a look if Ipswich don’t want him next summer

Mr Appleton is so tactically superior to the chap we have in charge now. And that is saying something. We would have lost that game under Appleton. I'm so happy he has gone. We are so much better to watch this season. 7 out of 8 home games have been great entertainment. Much better than all that sideways crab football under Mapp. It's hard to remember any stand out home games in the last couple of years before Pep.

Good to watch though aren’t we. 😃😃😃 Yes we are. At least when we attack 😉

Nelson gave the ball away when he had time and space on his side. Only thing Canice could have really done was dive in and hope to have got the ball.

Poor show. OUFC = the earthworms. Zero backbone. 3-1 up at home. Embarassing. Why would you be embarrassed when you were sat on the toilet at home playing with yourself.. ?

Funny old game today and I am disappointed yet still happy with that!
They were a strong physical side and the big lad up front was some unit. I did think we looked vulnerable defensively and sharp going forward.
Another game unbeaten and we move on..

Having said that you wouldn't have to be genius to work it out, given it says quote before and after what I had quoted his/her having said and their post was only two posts previously!

I don't know, I like Ribs but I don't think he would have coped any better today than Carroll. I think Carroll should be given another game or two to allow Ribs to get fully fit from his knee problem. He played as well to day as any in the back 4.
Personally I thought everyone looked a little jaded after Tuesday.

I'm enjoying the games at home much more than I have in years. Maybe it's just me. That is your view and I agree the games are very enjoyable under Pep. I meant more in regard to not having any memorable games in the previous two years, Newcastle, Swansea, Swindon, to name a few etc.

it's weird how many goals we seem to ship when ribeiro isn't playing. in other news, leyton orient just lost at home to macclesfield Yes it is weird but its just co-incidental...
If Ribs was that good to make a difference, he wouldn't be playing for us.
Nelson needs to get back to doing the simple things well as does Ric.

Before it was more like 1 good game in 8.

Disappointed with our shooting today, and heading for that matter. Either way off target or too soft and straight at the keeper. I like the fact that everyone is contributing goals but we would easily have won that with a bit more quality in front of goal. Now off to Fleetwood

They were so totally there for the taking first half. Slow to close down and easy to get by. The fact they scored first was a bit of a shock as they never looked to be in it. Leggo’s penalty was the turning point for me, despite us getting another one soon after. The game was effectively over had he slotted that. They tightened up a little after half-time, but we could well have scored more. The big lad up front for them was f*cking decent though and, although they were not as good as Charlton, a point is not a bad one all in all.

Carroll was naïve today, and had a poor game. If Ribiero is not fit for Fleetwood, then Tendalli should play as he is now fit, and looked good for the little game time he has had. That's what he was bought for, to compete for the place with Ribsiero.

Although I put most of the blame on nelson for the 3rd goal u have to give credit to Rotherham. It was a slick move and 3 touches after nelson gave it away it was in the net. Lovely move.
