That would be good news and a full time training facility is just what the club needs.

Worrying to hear on Yellow Player Mapp stating that the injuries may be because our training ground is too soft and the Kas Stad pitch is harder.
A new training ground would be brilliant for the team and community.

This could be one of the more interesting paragraph's in the release: From the Oxford United perspective, the club is delighted to help find a win/win solution which helps secure OCFC's future but which also provides a permanent facility from which the club can operate during the week especially in terms of creating a supporters club and retail outlet as well as the opportunity to commercialise the Court Place Farm stadium facility more generally, especially as a potential future home for Oxford United Women as well as expanding our community activities.
I've not had my morning brew yet, but is that a nod to moving the clubs base from the Kas Stad to Court Place Farm? And creating a more permanent base for the club?

What they are reporting on Radox with Jerome Sale is very intriguing, worth tuning in for this morning as they keep adding extra snippets.

Was speaking to my brother last week about this, he has been working hard with OUFC to get the deal done. It should be a massive benefit to both clubs.

Good news although talk of any future groundshare would be problematic with artificial pitch now scheduled for next season for City with GE donation could make this possible. Also planing permission maybe problematic for proper stands for div1-championship standard if a groundshare in distant future could be considered not impossible but interesting.

Though the Oxford Mail say it is OUFC having the supporters club and retail outlet. Early days yet, but how would you get from Marston to the Kassam and back on match days?

Interesting stuff. Don't OCC own CPF? Or part of it?
One hopes that any adverse planning restrictions placed on the project are relentlessly pursued with all the vigor and determination that has applied (allegedly) to the new hotel and Priory and ?...
Just sayin...

Another reason probably because the locals didn't mind a small ground outfit quarry nomads/city . But didn't want the New Manor Built On the note of club shop City's on ground facility has been shut for sometime. United's outlook is to retain the shop at ballplex and have one in covers market and now north Oxford also could be joint affair having city counter for their stuff. And on a final note hope things go well for oxvox and Chairman on purchase of ground. But wouldn't shed any tears if Kasham was left with empty ground...

...am I missing something?
Doesn't this news just deftly segue around the fact that the club are, to all intents and purposes, giving up on the idea of their own training-stadium facility (wherever that may have ended up being). I can't see OCFC's ground as a viable option for a L1 stadium, at least not without substantial investment...or complete redevelopment. Maybe I'm doing DE a disservice and this is the plan...or maybe I'm just too optimistic about what infrastructure OUFC deserve.
Also, and I accept the hypocrisy of this comment, but a joint venture also means joint liability. Do we really want that given OCFC's recent financial history?

They have paid dearly for that mistake RIP Colin Taylor. Long term look at uniteds Record.... Rosser after he finished or nearly finished City, dodgy Bob & Merry..

Middle finger to OCC! We don't need/want the complex near BMW! OCC seem to be in on this ..... Fusion runs the OCC leisure facilities. It's no secret that the Leys Centre (which includes the new pool) runs at a loss and is propped up by the other centres. Fusion is a non-profit organisation. However, I suspect it demanded sole operation of the proposed sports facility to be sited adjacent to the athletics club on Horspath Road to ensure it's business model was sustainable with OCC. OUFC therefore excluded, much to their annoyance, and OCC seemingly the bad guy. No doubt it is in OCC's interest to be supportive in OUFC's quest for a new training facility. With the bent American out of the picture an alliance with City is much more acceptable and certainly seems to provide real benefit all round. How sad that this has come too late in the day to have reassured Mr Taylor to the extent that he might have reconsidered the course of action that he took. An honourable man RIP.

I thought that the land that OUFC wanted to build a stadium on was off the Marston Ferry Road alongside the ring road, not Court farm ? P.S. The traffic around Marston is horrendous even without thousands of football fans.People moan about lack of parking around Grenoble Rd,what are they going to say about a stadium that has no parking at all ?

''From small acorns'' Sounds to me as if the U's are putting down roots at CPF with future development of the site alongside OCC and Ox City.
With cpf being in close/r proximity to the possible site at Kidlington and the new Parkway rail station there could be deals to be done.
