Who was the lad for Crawley, caused havoc in the first half in the game at the end of the season. Looked a real handful and quick. Would be a gamble but looked a player.

The Oxford Mail also states we are close to agreeing a deal with a striker. I can see 3-4 more coming in.

Gwion Edwards would have been an excellent capture, and an ideal replacement for Callum. Unfortunately, Peterborough were pretty quick off the mark and also prepared to pay a substantial fee apparently. Expect them to sell him on in a few year for a good profit.

Wouldn't mind Gboly Aryibi. Good player but imagine he'll be a few pennies due to age etc

You could be thinking of Gavin Tomlin instead of Edwards as he was causing problems on the left in the first half. I read after the game from Crawley fans that he doesn't usually play that well though! He was anonymous in the 2nd half.

Could it be Jordan Graham coming back whether on loan to get his fitness fully back or permanent

It's someone who has been mentioned on here recently, but whether we'll be happy I'm not overally sure! I hope it's not my wife, I've mentioned her a few times recently.

Jonathan Leko? Highly rated at West Brom, strong, blistering pace. Just signed his first pro contract. Baggie, what do you think?

Could it be Jordan Graham coming back whether on loan to get his fitness fully back or permanent As much as the guy was q different class and I'd love to see him at te club again, it would be q huge gamble so close to a very severe injury, give him the proper recovery time and see later in the year or maybe January, he may well have fallen out of wolves favour by then.

Hope not but fear you may be right. Don't think either would get many goals in L1 as previous stats show!!

Hope not but fear you may be right. Don't think either would get many goals in L1 as previous stats show!! I don't really understand all this previous stats business? I mean surely it matters on who is playing around them and the system they are playing in? Shevchenko is a prime example of a player who was in the wrong system (I know he is a different calibre of player before anyone says). Played at Milan with a strike partner and scored well over 100 goals, came to Chelsea struggled to score 5 as a loan striker. Lukaku is another example, Chelsea released him because he didn't suit their style of play, went to Everton and turned into a top striker. What a player does at a previous club means nothing on what he could do for us. If ruben Reid or barnett came to us they very well might score 20+ with the midfield we have.

Don't get the disdain towards Reuben Reid. Not good enough to replace Roofe, obviously, but we also need to replace Hylton and Bowery and have only brought in Thomas so far. Personally feel Reid would be an improvement on those two providing he wasn't the only striker that came in.

If he could get back his form of two years ago then would be a cracking signing, but a big if.

So another striker needs to be a number that u can depend on to get 20+ goals and play most weeks. That isn't Reid

Personally feel Reid would be an improvement on those two providing he wasn't the only striker that came in. He is injury prone (missed large chunks of the last 2 seasons) and the Plymouth fans don't seem bothered that he hasn't re-signed for them. We did the injury thing with Will Hoskins and that went well. There are rumours (only on forums though so who knows if true or not) that he has failed medicals already for other clubs this summer.

Reid? There's not that many others we haven't been linked with so there is probably something to it
You also have to bear in mind that we've missed our top targets. We're in mid-July after all.
It's concerning because when things went to the wire last time we got....Carlton Morris.
Irked by the Taylor sit. Just don't understand when you've got one of your top targets sat in front of you, nodding, shaking hands you don't sign the guy. You never, ever let a guy walk away. Partic when you all go off for a tour.
I can only imagine we weren't that keen to get him otehrwise we'd have press ganged him.

They will say yes to anyone.

Taylor? Even Thomas. Four strikers for one position doesn't go For me, winger/s and wide players much more important
