13 clubs already and only 23!!! He can't be too far behind the record of your username! Think Jefferson is now on 31, still got some way to go! He's definitely well on course..

After Ryan Dow from Dundee according to Twatter, 24 y/o Winger or attacking mid. Ryan Dow played for Dundee United (The Arabs) last season; not Dundee (Dee). Grounds are only 100 metres apart but feelings about the other club run very deep! Dee supporters were thrilled to send their neighbours down in the final match of the season.

New keeper coming in. Done deal so I hear. What's the latest? All been a bit quiet since your claim of a done deal....

I have a feeling we maybe getting a new goalkeeper and coach... Bit of a punt but I'd say Rob Green is likely.

The Rob Green 'rumour' is the most ridiculous for many a long year. Can people please stop it!!! Why ridiculous? He's been released by a midtable championship side. Got a year or two left in him, lives local ish and would appear to fancy a coaching role in the near future.

Yeah i really hope we don't sign Green. An old fart compared to the rest of the team. A young keeper on a season long loan like when Butland was at Cheltenham

If not ridiculous - how would you describe the rumour? Reasonably likely I'd say. I'd be impressed. He was supposedly on the best part of £2m per year at QPR. He'll get 5% of that here.

Signing Rob Green isnt as ridiculous as it may sound..
Sign him on a 2 year deal on an average league 1 wage (he won't need the money) let him train three days a week, that way he can play regular football (so long as he's playing well) and take his coaching badges.

Couldn't be more opposite to that if I tried. If u want to be here then u need to fit in physically and mentally, having some players who are on more money than the rest of the squad and allowed to miss training is the perfect way to divide a dressing room, we have a young fit together squad, and this would be a total disaster in exactly the the same way as signing that big headed ginger tool. For the first season in ages we have signed young hungry players on the way up, and got promotion, let wilder have big headed big waged has Beens on the way down, and stick to what's working very well

When Paul Merson played for Pompey, he only trained twice a week. I'm sure Gazza did the same at Boro. I dont think Green is in the same mould as Kitson. I'll happily stand corrected if he is though! The likes of Crocombe and Buchel could learn so much from him as well.

Plenty of good gk about that can train 5 days a week. A lot has been made of our fitness and having a 92% squad availability this season. You don't get that with much older players.

Romaine Sawyers looks class for Walsall plays just off the striker, can ping the ball very well, very good touch and vision, contracts up too this summer, opinions?

If and when he signs he will have to buy into the club ethos and join in like everyone else. No special treatment. Hence Kitson being moved on quick smart as MAPP knew what he was like and Kitson knew what he was getting with MAPP.
I know we've spoken to him and heard a whisper coaching may have been mentioned as an aside. Possibly more for a longer term view.

Got a year or two left in him, lives local ish and would appear to fancy a coaching role in the near future. £40kpw even at a 50% cut few Championship sides could afford to pay a keeper that. The parachute payments ran out at QPR and they couldn't afford to play him. Ridiculous? No Impractical? yeah maybe. through the thread different have said offer him a pay cut and a chance to his badges. That was offered at QPR the year they dropped. He didn't take it then and he's based in London. Can't see him coming to Oxford to do it now

I don't mind if we sign him or not. I trust in Mapp to get the best players he can. What I'm saying is, Green is better than any keeper we have. My post, is a way in which a deal could be done. If Mapp finds a keeper as good, but younger.. Brilliant!

Just can't see how u fit it in, u have anyone in the same job who's colleague is getting the same or better money for doing less and it's going to create friction, no matter how good they are.

Somehow, I don't see mapp bringing in anyone who isn't a good fit within the team ethic. No special dispensations or wage hikers. Just hungry to succeeders.

Rob Green, turned down a Premiership move in January as he was offered (only) 20k a week. He also turned down the chance of taking a pay cut for QPR which meant he could play another game, his last was at christmas time. He chose to keep taking his 40k a week and not play again for 6 months. Can't imagine he'll then accept our 2k a week wages
