For me the atmosphere and build up starts -now!! League two's only unbeaten teams meet at Grenoble Rd in what should be an exciting and very competitive match. This one already has the feel of a 'Big match' and we usually see a Big performance from the U's in such matches, so bring it on!!! I'm going for a 2-0 win for the mighty Yellows. Alfie and Dave. Att: 7,105. UTM!!!

If he plays the four central midfielders then 2-0 to Chesterfield. Otherwise a draw.

quote from Chesterfield Manager Manager Paul Cook told chesterfield-fc.co.uk that he was expecting fiercely competitive match, adding: “For me, Oxford are a good benchmark of where you want to be as a club. I couldn’t compliment Oxford enough. Certainly now, if somebody said to me we could finish above Oxford, I’d bite your hand off.” “It is first versus second on paper but I think as a League 2 fixture Chesterfield versus Oxford would always be a big game no matter where the two teams are.” Read more at www.oufc.co.uk/news/article/00200913-chesterfield-preview-1065617.aspx#kclDA5SRpv69TyuM.99

It does feel like a big game, and I'm really looking forward to it.
We will get a last minute winner, just a feeling I've got

Im not very confident. But that's when we usually get a win!! I just think Chesterfield's available 18 players are much stronger than the ones we have available. It should be an open game, which will favour us, as long as we have Potter playing on the wing, and not 4 centre midfielders! We really should have 6,500 home fans minimum for a game like this, and they should bring 1,000+.

maybe the only one thinking this but tomorrow for me isnt a big game if it was march and 2nd v 1st ten yes it would be a big game but as it is only the 8th game in. i know wilder has said that hes going for the win and not the unbeaten run i just cant buy into that we have limited attacking options beano out marsh out and while wilder says rigg is back would you risk him with lack of match fitness could risk further injury and be out even longer. i hope for a win but i just feel wilder will play it safe and get a draw

If its one each and we get a penalty in the last minute does Wilder instruct the penalty taker to miss it. Its impossible to play for a certain pre determined result. Its football FFS. We will try to win , if we can not win , we shall make sure we don't lose! That is what Wilder will be telling the players.

Um, no. Of course not. But a brilliant use of the false analogy.
We will be set up to try to make sure we do not lose, I fear.
I hope we can pretend we're away and score a couple on the break, but I foresee a lot of pressure on the back 9. I'd really like to see us play 2 proper strikers and Potter on the right.

Jeeeeez . if Chesterfield do the same , we are in for one hell of a boring game..........Where is your sense of optimism. We can win this game. Its Chesterfield FFS not Barcelona.

Extremely difficult game this one and I'm a bit concerned about it given our injuries but if we di win or at least draw whilst playing well I will really start getting excited about our chances this season.
Huge game, come on Oxford!

My optimistic side is saying a win! My pessimistic side is saying they will steal a win. My long experience of Oxford games is saying this is a nailed on draw! A long winded way of saying I haven't a clue on how this one will pan out but a win would be bloody fantastic!

it's a must win game....duck.
2-1 win if we play to our full potential, just over 6900 fans 1000 from Chesters Field.

Haven't got a clue on result today! ... Odd feeling to go into a game second placed yet thinking this could be awful... Equally we 'always' turn up for the big ones... don't we?
If we set up positive I will be happy WHATEVER the result... If we set up negatively ... I can only see it ending in tears

I don't know whether its just me, but I would stick one of Shama or maybe Roberts on the bench, to give us an extra option in the last 10 mins!
As for the game I think we need a strong start maybe a goal in the first 20 and push on!
I predict 2-1 Kitson & Potter!

Looks like there are stewards on site attempting to police the ridiculous parking behind the OM Stand.
Hopefully to stop some of the massive over parking on the verges/pavements on around the entrance which force fans to walk on the road and make it take twice as long to get out
Way overdue - although most likely it's just as there are already lots of Chesterfield around

Afternoon all. Difficult to get a prediction for this one but I think, if we are to win,we shall have to be on the ball today and take whatever chances come our way. If not, its a draw and both teams continue with their unbeaten runs.
