At the moment, we are still working on a few things. Not owning the stadium means things take longer. But we want flags to be a major part of our matches, and will talk about that more in the next couple of weeks.
Match days will be a lot different. We have discussed this with the club, and they listened to our ideas, and their ideas are good. From pre match music, to flags and banners, things will be geared to a better match day experience and atmosphere. We don't want to spoil everything now. The Bury game will hopefully be when fans notice the difference.
It really is United We Stand

It's a great idea and a really positive campaign, and hopefully together we can raise more than £20k. My only concern, playing devil's advocate, is over two scenarios; 1. The team have a terrible start to the season, morale is low and people wait to see if CW is axed before contributing, and would rather the funds go to a new manager 2. That we have an excellent start, and people feel that there's nothing that needs to be gained at this stage by coughing up. There you go, thinking again. Give it a rest. My bad, innit blood.

Good ideas for things to sell. I've already been working on the things mentioned, so hopefully they will be on sale at the start of the season.

How about a couple of decent t shirt designs Good suggestion. We are working on that. We will do as much as we can, and have a small budget. It will mean we can't do everything at once, but the more we sell, the more we can offer at each home game. More details will follow.

This will be brilliant if we ever find ourselves in a position to make everything. Car stickers, car flags, t-shirts, mini waving flags for matches all top ideas. (Yellow Army cars may be a tad difficult ) If people have any more ideas this is the place to put them! Also ideas of ways to raise the budget in order to create these could be useful. United we stand!

'Id like to see T-shirts, car stickers and flags that read 'Following* Oxford United is not a crime' * or 'Supporting' or 'Yellow Army - A MAJOR force in town' or 'a MAJOR force near you' or something similar. Also, just thinking randomly, and perhaps for something further down the line - perhaps as an Army, it could award medals or honours to particular individuals for their contribution to either the campaign, or the club itself. How about making Mr Langan the first recipient, perhaps an award for bravery beyond the call of duty, in recognition of his personal injuries sustained in the course of duty?

I think its all really good news, and really positive for the club. I'm really excited by the new ideas on match days now. I think just quite a few small changes will make a massive improvement. I really hope we can get all the flags back at games. the 09/10 season was brilliant for displays. And that was when we had the best atmospheres we've ever had at this stadium. They do make a different imo. And then it was no coincidence that's when there was a real feel good factor about the place and a togetherness between the club and the fans. And was the only successful season we've had in years!! It does make a difference. It will also persuade and encourage more people/casual supporters to come to games. I really hope the stadium company allow all the ideas. We shouldn't have to make special ultimate support games at home, to try and create an atmosphere, we should be doing it at all home games. And I think we will with all the new ideas and improvements. Looking forward to more announcements in the near future.
Just a couple of things on ideas on trying to raise money. I got made up a lot of Oxford united etched car stickers a few years ago now, varied sizes from 5inches to 12 inch rear window sticker, they was popular as I sold them all. But they're expensive to get made, I couldn't get the larger sizes any cheaper than £12-14 and that was getting them made in bulk. The mini car flags I looked at as well, and that was a no go straight away as they was a rip off. But if they could be done, they would be great. Other sports teams have them. I'd def buy one. Would be great seeing loads of cars with them on the way to away games.

This is going to be a great initiative. Really hope everybody gets behind it. Absolutely agree with Rollsy that at EVERY game we should be generating an atmosphere that inspires wins, encourages newcomers to come back, and stay-aways to return. YELLOW ARMY!

All very positive news and hopefully it goes as well as expected. The only thing I'm not certain of is the money fund or more to the point the destination if that money! Whilst its great that this group is helping out the club with a possible transfer should the need arise but isn't that a short term goal? Personally I would have preferred something longer term, possibly a fund towards the stadium or other venue as this will remain an asset long into the future. Don't take this as a negative more an observation!

Nick, I can see where you are coming from. The £20,000 target for January, is our first act as a group. There will be plenty more things we come up with, including long term goals. We think the £20,000 target, is achievable, and something that we can do to help the team during a crucial time in January. But we are thinking long term to.

Is there any money in the 12th man fund now, and if so will that be put towards the £20k target?

Yeah point taken JL, my concern is that the money comes from the same limited set of people and in these tough financial times donations of this nature will be massively hit. And before anyone says it yes I know we're never going to collect £13m or whatever but anything towards it might convince other backers to get involved!

It's to early to buy things in Oxford, let alone online :-) Your kind words are appreciated, and we will get this under way when the season starts, then see how we can involve exiles. Nick, you make good points, which we will discuss as a group. You are part of the Yellow Army, so we will always listen to fans and see what we can come up with.

To answer a few questions.
Firstly no it's not the club that makes final decisions the steering group talk over everything and decide a plan of action. That's Joe, Charlie myself and Trevor. Both Charlie and I keep Ian Lenagan in the loop as he's very keen to keep building on the United We Stand motto.
As for the stadium this is a huge area that OxVox is working very hard on. The right to bid being accepted has led to very positive conversations with the council. Helping the club and te community to acquire the stadium is our primary focus and we continue to have positive discussions on this. Once we have anything of note to report back we will do just that.
As for donating online to the yellow army I haven't set this up yet as we wanted te focus on Dave Langan. But if you would like to donate to te fund you can post a cheque made out to OxVox and say its a donation to te fund. Simply post it to the address on our website.

As Mark said, we are concentrating on the Dave Langan collection at the moment. But if any fan wants to donate money to the Yellow Army, then you are more than welcome to.
Like Mark said, you can send a cheque to the address on the OxVox website. Or you can send an email to yellowarmyoufc@gmail.com where an online transfer can be arranged. Once the Dave Langan collection is complete, we will set something official up.
This is not a request for donations, but if any supporter wishes to do so, then we will happily arrange it. We have the £20,000 fundraising target, and also the match day experience and atmosphere side of things.

How about setting up different online collection pots so people can choose where their money goes, example;
Dave Langan Transfer Kitty Stadium/Longer Term Project
I'm guessing some people may be out off donating if they can't direct the funds accordingly and if its all one pot you may lose a donation. For the record I would contribute to all 3
