It's all about putting the ball in the net, despite creating plenty of chances and playing the better football on the night , we can't score. Dale have taken their chances and scored 2

Facts are we were way on top but football being football the team that didn't look like scoring scored twice, Denis Smith is saying exactly that!
As he just said we need to stay positive and hope our luck will change!

What? We've played 442 and lost? I thought that could never happen. What was the score when Potter went off? Is Heslop a right midfielder? Was Leven fit? Why not play Chapman if Cox was injured? Enough said.

I do love Oxford fans, 45 minutes we have gone from turning the corner to sacking the manager!! Wilder did what fans wanted tonight - kept the same side, played 442, played beano and craddock together and yet when we lose it his fault that Potter got a stupid booking so took him before getting sent off and then putting JPP on to try and get at them. 2 chances and Rochdale take theirs, Wilder cant score for Potter,Beano or Craddock!

Wilder out and take Heslop with him. I'm sick of the sight of that sub-Conference footballer playing for Oxford.

There is something inexorably wrong with a team (club) that cannot take chances after stuffing a crap side 5 - 0 and then loses concentration having had most of the game - and that WRONG is the management team that haven't got a bloody clue how to do things right. We are now -7 on goal difference and in deep trouble. The freak result on Saturday has blinded everyone to the fact that CW is NOT the man to lead us forwards.

No dont make things up a large proportion of fans have wanted wilder out for a long time, 1 excellent result against accrington doesnt change that fact. I and am sure all the wilder outers want us to do well and hoped the accrington result would be a catalyst for good form but 'wilders' current and historic form doesnt suggest this will happen.

Consistently inconsistent. Mid table at best this season IMO, forget the Accy fixture. Great to score 5 but they really were useless.

I called for Wilders head immediately after we beat Wimbledon, straight after the draw with Gillingham and I was on here witHin an hour of the final whistle on Saturday wanting him sacked. Don't judge him on one off games, judge him over th last 30 games - 8 victories I believe. Sackable in anyones language. We could be Wycombe 10-0 and I will still wan him gone. He just cannot build momentum, it's as simple as that.

Denis Smith - "For 80% of the game, Oxford were the better side" - "They [Rochdale] never looked like scoring" - "You can't criticise anyone at Oxford for that performance" - "That was an excellent performance, just not an excellent result" - "To lose that game is a shock; a major shock" - "If we (love it when he says "we") continue to play like that, we'll win a hell of a lot more than we lose" - "As a manager, I can honestly say that that team will reach the playoffs"

stevegilbert - he took Potter off & put Heslop on - NOT JPP. Keep up. Baldy I think you have it - MOMENTUM - something CW does not understand.

We might reach the Conference play offs next season but that's about it.
