Barry Hearn is genuinely concerned. However, it seems he has little influence here.

I like to things what comes around goes around, and after their supporters disgraceful behaviour on that day in 2006 I wouldn't shed a tear if they were to drop down a few leagues.
Barry Hearn should stick to what he does very well - Darts and Snooker.

Isnt he saying he will try to hold it up in the courts if spurs or west ham are allowed to move there? Could make it interesting as their is a 3rd option that is being considered but that has not been widely reported of reducing the stadium to a 25,000 athletics only stadium. The decision was supposed to be annouced on friday but has been postponed now with no new date set yet,got a feeling that they dont have a clue which option they are going to go for.

In all due fairness to that day - most of the Orient "fans" were West Ham fans.

The question I haven’t yet heard answered by Hearn is what he would do as an alternative. Orient could have submitted a proposal just like Tottenham and West Ham. They didn’t. Neither Tottenham’s plans; ludicrous to move out of the ‘natural’ area and demolish a stadium after just 3 weeks use, or West Ham’s; use public money (as a loan) plus a broader financially risk if they cannot sustain Premier League status, are not without detractions. But at least they are there to be assessed. The original 25,000 athletics-only option has been debunked according to the BBC. Orient could have submitted a plan to add a roof. Whatever the consequences are for Orient fans, they should be looking at their Chairman. Bit late after the event.

Think the reason Orient did not was due to the size of it. Even after the reduction in capacity, they would still not be able to fill it up. They have only an avarage gate of 4k or something like that. Rumours are they are looking at the National Hockey Stadium but that is also in the air, as the stadium was only meant to be there for the games and then demolished. All can be heard on this feature I saw today: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympic_games/london_2012/9371221.stmIt all depends if they can keep the stadium, and make teh necessary changes to it.

Fine, celebrate getting promotion but to abuse innocent women, kids and people who had just watched their club crumble before them was dispicable. Hope they go bust! 4000 regular fans these days, shows their tin pot and deserve all they get. And Barry Hearn is a tit. So there! ;D

You're right, I'd much rather discuss Arsene Wenger's Sunday lunch. Why? I'd rather discuss Wenger's lunch box. Fergie's is way better. He's really able to get the best out of a red apple and I'd much rather see Golden Delicious than Granny Smith, always looks tasty in and around the lunch box.
