Three swallows don't make a summer, and three clean sheets don’t make a season. I don’t think I passed comment on our defensive coaching, pretty sure I didn’t call for anybody to be sacked but, looking at stats, we had 23 games without a clean sheet now we have three in four, it’s a good comeback but hardly approaching an equilibrium point. Lets not get too pious yet, the doubters can put away their sackcloth and ashes for now. I generally don’t see the point of witch hunt threads, and I certainly think this thread is a little too early. If we keep 23 clean sheets in a row then by all means let’s hang Socrates by his nads from carfax tower, but it’s not time yet. Witch hunt? - do me a favour! I asked a simple question as to whether these people still thought they were justified in asking for Melville's sacking. If there was a witch hunt then it was surely those wanting him sacked. The only threads that were 'too early' were those asking for a sacking at the club...

Definitely an air of witch hunting. Both views are a little of the wall (but 23 is definitely more than 4, so that opinion has a little more substance than this thread, for now at least). Back to the point, 3 in 4 is a welcome turn around but its hardly a trend. Whilst I prefer to count points you've got to admit that 3 clean sheets in 27 games is less than impressive, it would be interesting to see how it compares to teams in the play-off places.
