Really come into his own the last month or so I think. Maybe the thought of getting rid as we try to climb the leagues is coming into question a bit now? Or is it too early?
Quite like him, despite not starting the season particularly well he's come on since then and has added to his general play as well as a couple of goals.

I was going to post how him and McLaren were our 2 most effective midfielders and today (radio view) I heard Heslops name like 3 times - one of which was a shite backpass.
We won 3 - 0 so changing the team would be silly but id love to see Payne start with Hall and McLaren

I brought a couple of friends along for the Cheltenham home game and they thought Hall was the best player on the pitch. He's certainly hitting form at the right time.

Still the free kick means that all is forgiven. Stunning at any level

The usual, predictable response when a player gets a goal or two. Hall, as a central midfielder, has not stamped his authority on a single game I have seen him in bar one recent home game. The opposition I can't remember.
Three goals by the end of February is not a great return and not just that but he's drifted in a lot of games and not grabbed any game by the bollocks. I wouldn't mind if he was low on goals but running games but he hasn't been.
I hope he does turn a corner but he has to do a lot more on a more consistent basis.

I first said it b4 the Shrewsbury game!!! and he scored. So i'll be saying it b4 everygame from now on. Then will run on when it's a bit warmer!!!! All 3 midfielders played well, we controlled the game comfortably from 20mins onwards. Beav wanting Payne to start ahead of Heslop?? Payne hasn't played well for most of his starts since about October in my view. And would have Clist ahead of him too. Hall needed to score goals to get his confidence back. Hopefully we'll see the best of him now. He has that height we need in midfield and gets forward well.

I'd still say our best midfield three is Heslop, Hall and McLaren. Although I think Hall can do more I think he still edges out Payne and Clist - just.

Didnt he set up one of the goals ?

At last some sense to the thread, 1 good game in how many?
