The top three posts to this thread seem very suspect. All written in the style. Multis showing 'their' support for Mido. We keep going over the ground with Midson over and over again and it's getting quite boring now. I don't believe the 'ffs wat has midson got 2 do 2 get a game wtf wilder!!!!!' crowd, nor do I understand the moaners who regard him as 'average' either. Jack is a very good player with a good touch and a a great team player. What he isn't is a selfish, grab-the-game-by-the-scruff-of-the-neck, go-getter like Beano and therefore he won't get that many goals by virtue of the way he now plays out on the left. He takes fewer chances as he's often looking to set people up instead with Saturday being a fine example. Certain games will suit Jack and certain games won't. Let's just stop the love-in and the inevitable counterattacks on those fans who like him and critique his performance as and when he plays. Why is it moaning to describe Midson as average? Its just peoples opinion of his ability, pretty much backed up by his playing record as well. I doubt that a very good player would be sitting on the bench for a league two team. If you think describing a player as average is moaning you dont want to have to sit near to a bloke I have to at home games, he booed Clist while he was warming up.

If you think describing a player as average is moaning you dont want to have to sit near to a bloke I have to at home games, he booed Clist while he was warming up. Because, with some minor exceptions, there are only two groups involved in this - the 'Midson can do wrong' clan and those who go to the reverse and say 'Midson is average and should not be playing'. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion on him, but we seem to have the same discussion after every game regardless whether he plays or not. It's often the same people on either side as well and, like my previous post said, we should only have a comment to make on Midson if he plays. He's an Oxford player and I'll support him 100% on the pitch regardless whether I think he is the next John Aldridge or a Steve Anthrobus reincarnate. As for the moaner behind you, how can anyone dislike Simon Clist?!

But who starts the Midson threads? Its always the same few people who then go on to make claims that he is not playing because of some bias on Wilders part, even if his substitution was proved right by a victory. If people are going to slag Wilder off with no evidence then people are going to come on here and point out that the more obvious reason Midson doesnt play is that we have better strikers.
Get the feeling that Midson is being used by a couple of nutters on here who are bizarrely Anti-Wilder but realise that slagging him off on results wont work as he has done well for us, so they make up lies about him and his relationships with the players.
Personally I agree with you that the number of Midson threads is ridiculous, no other players who are on the bench get this much attention.

Here's a radical solution to this problem; lets play all 4 strikers in a 4-2-4 formation then everyone will be happy.

Honestly hate is not a strong enough word to describe what the fella feels for Clist, I worry he is going to give himself a heart attack from his outbursts against him.
Although if Clist is shagging his missus he has gone down in my estimation, she is a bit rough.

Have to agree with hairy, this man don't know his name (let's call him *Nigel*) hates clist and craddock although he must feel more and more stupid for what he says about craddock as now he has turned on maclean to abuse * disclaimer * this post is not about any Oxford united supporter called Nigel who sits and moans in ox mail stand
