Sorry again to you SimonLill - just didn't understand the system. I hate computers and it takes me time time to understand the systems. I will do my best to get threads right next time. Didn't realise the restrictions on threads which of course are reasonable

Good god, Ken was just on the breakfast show on RadOx talking about the Euro. As someone with a Masters degree in Economics, it was the biggest load of incoherent tosh I have ever heard. He MUST be on the RadOx payroll. If he was a relative of mine, I'd get him sectioned.

Banzai it is illegal to incite physical violence. Be warned. Moreover, although I am getting on I amateur box 3 times a week, was brought up in Blackbird Leys and do not turn the other cheek.
Mr. Surrey. I have an honours degree in Philosophy and French, speak 3 languages and ran two schools for 25 years. I started two successful businesses with only £500, turning one into a multi million pound concern. I am also an experienced boater and have passed the Yachtmaster boating qualification. I appeared in the Guiness Book of Records - for reasons I do not want to boast about. The campaign to help the young families in the North Stand appears to have produced results which everyone is likely to discover over the next few weeks. So Banzai and Surrey, I hope this helps. I hate bullies. I do not think you are one. ____________________________________________________ My next campaign will be to improve the lot of elderly patients in our hospitals, many of whom are being starved to death and shown no respect. Here is a message to the John Radcliffe Hospital: Ken is coming. They had better take note. They will lose, I assure you.

Charlie Don't Surf - My God. Everything's gone to pot. Did you have one of those little toilets with no seat and did they keep the lights on all night and keep waking you up before the interrogation? In my days we had a thin mattress and we would have gone on strike if there had been no thin mattress. But those were in the good old days of Scargill before Adolf Thatcher followed by Stalin Blair got stuck into us. Ken

Banzai - Very well researched and spot on with the Guiness Book of Records. Reformed? - never. Have you ever spent a night in a Cowley Road prison cell? Beds were a bit hard but the breakfasts were good. Mandatory for a Blackbird Leys lad. I still know some of the coppers by first name terms and they have all forgiven me. And I was a headmaster for 24 years! I'm prouder of the night in the prison cell than the Headmaster bit. Those were the days of free spirit. "When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose." (was that Nina Simone or Joan Baez?) Stopped being a Headmaster so I could stop pretending to have reformed. Never reform Banzai. Terrible idea, worse than collecting your bus pass which I did today! Never felt so sick in my life. Ken Read more: www.yellowsforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=oufcstadium&thread=5328&page=2#109233#ixzz1c7rOhlJF

Banzai - confusion is an essential part of life. If you ever meet someone who isn't confused by the human condition, he's either dead or heavily sedated. I do my best to be confused and succeed most of the time. You have to be insane not to be confused.
Look around you Banzai - mortgage, banks who nick our money, police who no longer protect you, big shareholders who still make billions, top councillors who give themselves 17% wage increases and yet cut all our basic services, politicians who couldn't care a f... about us - if that doesn't confuse you nothing will.
But when we beat Port Vale tomorrow it will be the only time in the week when I won't feel confused! For ninety minutes I can forget all that crap which is why watching the Yellows is such an addiction. Ken

Ken - you come across as a decent fella really. I would like to her your views over a coffee....sometimes text does not do an argument justice. You lose the passion from the voice and don't benefit from the body language on here. Reading your views, I dont initially support them but fair play if you really believe. If swearing is really hurting our young supporters and stopping a large amount of new supporters attending then there is something in it.
I remember attending a match at the manor vs Liverpool in 1986 with my family - I was 8 yrs old. The language around me in the Osler Road was rife at the time, and I remember my Dad and Grandad laughing and then turning around to me and saying "those men sound ridicilous, you dont need to sound like that". I understood even then. My parents never forbid swearing but the dissapointed look I used to get made me regulate my language. I knew it was undesirable to have a vile rant but a few expletives were acceptable.

Yellowg - love to have a coffee. Just let me know when and where and will try to make it. Might even get you involved in my next campaign to stop the ill treatment of the elderly at the JR. Ken By the way, if anyone tries to ban swearing I will be totally opposed to it. But it is the middle aged yobs who swear obscenely and are aggressive in front of young families that upsets. They are a small minority who had to be dealt with. But a meeting will be taking place soon with KT who is as keen as anyone to take measures quite soon. But I am not opposed to swearing.

No Grampsioli - not happy to be wrong 80% of the time, just make the wrong decisions 80% of the time. I am right 90% of the time. Not happy with that decision bit either. But just have to accept reality.
My balance isn't so good these days and my memory is shot. Funny old thing getting old. You keep thinking all this is normal and got nothing to do with getting old. But, I have a sneaking feeling that old age might be involved.....
But joking aside, let's be honest - put 20 Yellows supporters in the same room and they'll all have a different view about how the club should be run and who the manager should be playing.
But that glorious moment when the Yellows score we all become as one. This is what counts for me. The feeling of thousands of us all on the same side for 90 minutes every Saturday. Must have been a bit like the second world war when I wore my SS uniform (oops!)
By the way, even I don't need Ken's help. I voted against Ken on this forum. So you might laugh at me Mr. Yellowbroski but not as much as I laugh at myself. We could agree on that at least! Have a good day everyone. Ken

Ken - stop playing on your age. You're 61, not 95! Nowadays that's middle-aged.
You correctly say we all have different views on how the club should be run. Difference is, most of us don't try and ram our views down the throats of others.
I was in the North Stand on Saturday. Despite the presence of 100 or so performing monkeys in the away section, our supporters were very controlled, given the provocation, and swearing was at a level that most people would accept as "normal" for a football crowd.
So why was that Ken? Don't, for one moment, imagine it has anything to do with your ill-conceived campaign. Believe me, the vast majority of OUFC supporters have never heard of you, let alone care about your views. Could it have been that Saturday was no different to any other home match, and your concerns are over-hyped?

Surrey - I was in the North Stand on Saturday and I agree with you, the fans were great. I agree with you that this had nothing to do with me. Mark Sennett the head of OxVox has been doing all the talking with KT so if there was any improvement, this has to be down to KT and Mark. I agree that probably 99% of Oxford supporters have never heard of me, and therefore couldn't care about my views. Thank God. Isn't it about time this thread about Ken is removed altogether? I just put my views frankly and possibly at times a bit too bluntly for some, but my views are no more important than yours or anyone else's. Please, whoever put this thread forward, remove it. I am just another fan and I think it really is a bit over the top to have a thread about one person. As I said earlier, I voted against myself on the poll. You do not need Ken's help. I do not own the club and I am not the manager. They are the ones who make the decisions. I have no influence on their views or their actions. So, let's call it a day. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong. The same as all of us. You always come back strongly at me when you think I am wrong and good for you. This is what these forums are about. But, let's forget this Ken is important bit because that's a load of old cobblers. My wife and daughters would agree with you. They pretty much ignore and chat away as if I didn't exist and just tolerate my eccentricities
You know, this age thing is a bit funny. Everyone says 61 is not that old these days but collecting my bus pass really hit home to me. I don't feel that old, but the number 61 sounds pretty old to me. But I will try and take your advice - 61 is the new middle age. But I still fall asleep every night at about 9 pm and I'm a bit unsteady on my feet sometimes (not the booze as I am teetotal!) Have you ever heard that expression "I looked in the mirror and saw the body of a man growing old without me"?
But I feel pretty healthy - so I will never mention my age again, promise. But please please please someone remove this thread about Ken. It was good fun at first but now everyone is bored by it. Have a good day Surrey. But I bet you're only about 35 and really think I am an old git!! Ken
