I noticed on Sat that other than mine and the one towards the bottom of the North stand and a few others dotted about, that the colour has gone pre-match. Where did all the flags and banners go? The ride at dawn one and the other flag poles usually at the back of the east stand. Mine wont last the season, its started to really fall apart now.

didn't someone say that the bit of wire that was on top of the wall at the back of the oxford mail has been taken down - meaning there is no where for flags to be hung?

If youhave a waving flag, please bring it to games. Really adds alot of colour to our concrete stadium.

Thats right, over christmas time it was removed for 'safety reasons' so there is no where to put flags along the back since then. I think the no mans land in the North Stand should be flag territory. And all flags should be tied over the chairs, would look really good in my opinion, especially as it could all be covered. The usual GE (ultra) lads weren't there on Sat i don't think, so thats why no wavy flags at back, i think.

Has someone asked the club if we can have a flag area? or have some plumbers tape to stick the banners back up.
I think we need to get our mojo back flagwise ;-)

Nothing hung up due to the wire issue, no waving flags due to not many lads being in the county atm. Normal service to resume at the Aldershot game, bigger and better too I must add.

What do we need instead of wire? would rope do? does Kelvin know? I think he was asked when the wire came down but I can't remember what the answer was. The area at the back of the OM might be alright for flags but they'd have to be stuck up using duct tape or similar. I doubt stewards would be keen on letting people into the NS 'sterile area' to put flags up sadly.

Our flag is always by home dugout. Not large flag in OM cos when that appears at home we frequently lose. Good omen when we're away though
