I'm stunned. I've seen this before and it's stuck in my mind because I thought the lad had major attitude, even if he was right and made the copper look a right cock.

seen this video before whilst he was on loan with us but decided against posting it as I'm sure something bigger would have been made of it.

Saw this a while back. Does seem like a right prick in it, but then given his age at the time no surprise really. Quite funny in some parts, makes himself look like a complete idiot.

Ironically, Port Vale were on tour in the US and Canada and Burge travelled and was allowed in Weird :/ surely if he has got any kind of criminal record? Why would he have a criminal record? He didn't do anything wrong really. 1) The number plates were done wrong, which wasn't his fault and he had 14 days to get new ones, he didn't know he couldn't drive until it was sorted 2) He didn't drive away without paying, like the police thought, he went into pay it wouldn't work, so he left his card details with the guy to sort it out. All he got from the police was a fine and a talking to!

Who really gives a f*ck anyway. He's not an Oxford player anymore. Interesting though, if he had this same attitude with Wilder it might explain why we didn't try to sign him. And also why he's been at so many different clubs at such a young age.

Pity the ref! lol If he carries on like that i can see him picking up countless yellow/red cards!

I agree with Collyox. The police treated Burge like he was dirt when (number plates apart) he hadn't done anything wrong and then expected him to show them respect when they couldn't even apologise to him! No wonder he had an attitude. The copper was a total tosser.

Comes over as a complete cock in my opinion, hope he takes his bad attitude on the pitch at Port Vale. Glad he is not my son. You lot having a go at the copper, he only got sharp with Burge when he had pushed it too far.

Burge's attitude didn't help the situation at all but if the copper had actually approached the situation better then that might have also helped. The police had made a mistake but certainly weren't going to admit it.

Very typical of today's police behaviour towards the public at large, and football fans in particular.
OK Burge came accross as arrogant, but, he hadn't committed the crime that they originally thought, and the police were incredibly patronising towards him, after initially manhandling him. Six of one, half a dozen of the other? No, because one of them was a supposed professional public servant, dealing with this sort of thing day in day out, the other was an 18 year old lad FFS!
I'm glad the OB wasn't my son!
