Keep waving the flag mate. Quite few people I know (all of them non Oxford (first choice) supporters and independant of each other) noticed the flag on telly at Wembley and commented upon it. Since then, a couple of them have been watching the football league programme each week to see if they can get a glimpse of the flag - it's become a bit of a "Where's Wally?" type past-time for them. Had one of them text me the other week at some stupid time of night to say he had spotted it. A bit analy retentive I know and bloody annoying at that time of day, but Swiss is doing his bit - and probably without realising it - to increase the profile of Oxford United throughout the country. Well done Swiss, and keep waving the flag!

Wow! thanks very much.
I know some don't like it and some do, It's a just a tiny part of the amazing flags and banners that we have at games. I think the lads behind me do a superb job with the stuff they do and they manage to get their flags into more away games than I do. Personally my favourite was the Ghostbuster one, but I've not seen it in a while. The Long "We ride at Dawn" is immense too.
I know one fella who hates it and "thinks it has no place in a sporting occasion" to quote him, but hey it's supersition now, so I can't stop it or else!
I'm so proud of this wonderful football club and also the fact that Chris Wilder has the flag in the York pic on his wall. The blokes infront of us usually go well before the end of the game, so at the end of the York game I put the flag out in the seats in front. It extended out and I left. it. Beast scored and I grabbed it in the mele, I think it helps that amazing picture ;-) but it's all thanks to the leave early blokes!
The current flag is the 3rd version, the 1st was seen at the Manor in the London Road from 1990 onwards, with a smaller hanging version created in 2007 I think that usually comes out for away games now. The final one came along a few months after.
I'm always amazed when people mention it and am very grateful if people like it. My Dad's seen it on TV in Switzerland and loads of people mentioned it during the play off party in broad street.
What really throws me is when people want pictures with it! I had 3 or 4 folks come up to me outside Wembley wanting photos and two fellow Swiss people (Students I didn't know!) come up to me in the ground for a photo. They'd seen it on a Swiss football forum.
No one's ever asked for a photo of the Swiss Oxford Tattoos which were a post play-off bet :-), but that's a good thing.......
Made my day Mooneyswig Merci.

Trying to get hold of the lad who owns the Ghostbusters one, need to get that back to games one way or another, absolute belter that is. Regarding getting flags in, you win as you got your into Wembley

I lived with the lad who flies the Ghostbuster flag and have waved it a few times myself. He doesn't tend to take it to games much anymore, so if someone wanted it, Im sure they could make him an offer! He got the idea when he saw a green version at s Sporting Lisbon game.
