He's gone on loan to the end of the season. Confirmed by Cheltenham Town.

Yup, I thought that too. Luton thought they had him in the bag.

Yates was trying to get more than one of our players - who else?

it is a bit odd that we've let him go to a playoff rival
green is a good striker, so long as he plays in a front two
the three up front system never suited him and he is a 'main man' type of forward
do chelt play 2 up top? if so he'll score goals

If he had a Scottish ascent he could rival Andy Murray as the definition of dour.
Saddened to see him depart, if only on loan. A Wembley hero. However, the club and player must live in the present. He isn’t in the first XI, best wishes to him.

Possibly if Midson hadn't got that Torquay hat trick he would have been on his way, but as CW said at the time "If I let him go now, I'll get lynched." I wish Greeny well, his place in OU legend is secure with that wonderful opener at Wembley. The Play off squad is a bit like 10 Green Bottles.. we are left with Clarke, Batt, Tonkin,Clist, Wright,Constable, Midson, Potter, Deering. I suppose you could add Sangare and Purkiss if you wanted to cheat a bit and make up the numbers!
