And the nearest thing a Palace fan would have to an offensive weapon would be a red and blue scarf!

Sounds like they let a load in ticketless and panicked
Reminds me of the mess they made of walking us to the county ground last season. Walked us straight to the home end and disappeared

So what do they do,make the FA cup match a 7.45 kick off on a Monday. Plenty of time for the fans to get tanked up then. Can't imagine TVP allowing a 7.45 kick off if we had a FA cup game at the scum. P.S. Brighton have only given Palace 2,000 tickets, instead of the 4,600 that the rules state, how did they get round that one then ? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42285669

“a return to the dark days of football”.
Ah, so that's why they thought they saw Palace fans with weapons, gas lamps..

At least they didn’t take 20 odd years to admit they lied, they’ve learnt from their mistakes.

And the 2000 is apparently on police 'advice' which is against the norm, especially given the recent alleged ticketless fans fiasco. They normally want to ensure the biggest allocation to reduce the risk of ticketless fans traveling or some going in the home end.

Walked us straight to the home end and disappeared Well that and when we were being walked up from the pub we came up to a roundabout and there was another bunch of Oxford fans being walked from the station. The police panicked and drew truncheons to 'keep us apart' until they finally listened to the people telling them it was another group of Oxford fans.

I wonder what our very own club police officer (remember him?) makes of this? I assume policemen chat about such things amongst themselves. Regular occurrence? Rare event?
