He's proper class isn't he. Messes around too much with the balll occasionally but he uses his body so well and he is super calm and collected.

There was a moment about five minutes into Saturday's game where he got under a massive boot upfield from one of Gillingham's cloggers.
Every single left back we've had since probably Paul Powell at his peak (some of whom were halfway competent defensively, but none of whom could trap a bag of cement) would have headed/booted the ball out of play or randomly upfield.
Ricardinho? Controlled the ball instantly with his instep and calmly passed it to a teammate.
For a League One full back, it was an extraordinary piece of skill! Looks like a hell of a signing......

He was treading water a bit at the end. I hope he's got the legs to play two games a week. We need him.

Very little 'chip it down the line' stuff from Ricardinho, he's a much better player than that. Really like the the way he looks to pass the ball infield.

He was clearly blowing at the end last night. Slow to get out to the winger that led to the equaliser. That aside, he is a superb player. His control and calmness is a joy to watch.

In his defence GvK was supposed to be playing in front of him and should have been in a position to put pressure on the crosser, however he was stood on the halfway line when the goal went in. I hope someone pulls him up on that as it was a serious lack of effort from someone with fresh legs

I love Ricardinho and would pay the admission money just to watch him. He plays the game exactly as I would have loved to have been able to, many years ago when I was still playing. He's skilful, determined, cool and calm, positive, unpredictable, and most of all, a born entertainer.
Having said all of that, I think last night was one of his quieter games, and he was clearly a bit leggy near the end.
Cult hero status being achieved and if we can keep the little fella fit, he will be a clear favourite for Supporters Player of the Season in May.

Particularly when coupled with his shooting at the end when he had a perfect opportunity to head to the corner and waste a minute or so.

After our second goal Rico was feeling his hamstring, he was stretching it a few times after, I think this is why he couldn't get out to Law who put the cross in, I hope he's fit for Saturday.

The boys got ice in his veins. I was watching him closely in the Gillingham game and he was always finding a pass when it looked like no one was available. If the Albanian is as good as him we've got another quality player.

In the shooting drills before the game he always connects with the ball so cleanly and normally always buries it across goal at the far post, just like he did in the game today.
I thought his best moment today wasn't the goal though, it was the couple of touches round their man and the cross field diagonal to Henry.

That diagonal ball right across the pitch to Henry was positively outrageous. A left-footed, naturally attacking left back and a right-footed, pressing right winger. Not a bad combo. When RadOx asked Pep what he was doing in that position before he scored the goal, he said that was exactly what they’d talked about before the game. Nice.

He does one of them a game, that and spinning his way out of trouble away from 2 or 3 opposition players, he also makes at least one attempt at something a game that backfires and causes us problems but my god is it worth it, probably my favourite player at the moment, could make a highlight reel of him already and he's only been here 10 odd games
Can definitely see why he played at the level he did in his youth
Doing well in terms of fitness too, out of all the lads we signed he and Williamson were probably the 2 to be most worried about but touch wood he just seems to jog around bossing it that he doesn't really need to exert himself enough to get injured

I think he puts in really hard yards in training too. Clearly loves playing the game, his enthusiasm is infectious and that celebration was hilarious. He said in his interview that his wife is pregnant, and if he’d really thought about it, he’d have stuffed the ball up his shirt.

Sod giving pens to strikers, give it to the Brazilian maestro. He hits them so hard and accurately, he could score loads
