Not there but I don't see the need for the moaning minnies on here, the season's only just begun and has a similar feeling to when Mapp first took up the reigns - and people slagged him off. 1-1 away is acceptable in the circumstances, eg several new players yet to gel!! Two home games coming up, 6 points hopefully, expect the moaners will keep their heads down if so!!

I don't think richardinhio and riberio are anywhere near attacking enough for a 3 5 2. but good at keeping their wingers pinned back according to Wilder

I cant think of two better players to be honest.
Both had to defend well at times today and both did.
Our two best chances late on came from great crosses from Ribeiro at least one of which should have been put away.
Go and get your self a cup of Tea and think positive thoughts and chill.
Top effort by the travelling fans too.. I know its the next county but even so.

Yup. Don't get it why still take flares ? It will only reflect badly on OUFC, who could possibly be fined. Wish the people who persistently let these off in stadiums would grow up. Join OxVox www.oxvox.org.uk/join-oxvox/

Top effort by the travelling fans too.. I know its the next county but even so. Well I can think of two better players baldock and Johno. That's not a dig at ribs and silva , I think they are an improvement on last season, but they are full backs that are brilliant at defending who will get forward at times. They are not wing backs, who will do the work of wingers. That's not being negative, that's not having a go at them, it's playing to their strengths. Apart from Nelson I also don't think the back 3 would have enough pace. So u go and make the tea 😉 u also lose rob hall from the line up, and possibly Payne, as the 3 in the middle need to be strong and dictate the game. And the two up top need to be strikers, all very well coming out and saying we need to change the formation to this or that, but it doesn't work, which is why two managers now haven't played it at oufc. Actually that's a lie, mapp tried it once and we got totally dicked

Our play in the first 15 was wonderful. It looked like we would batter them and shame we didn't capitalize further.
MK got their act together after about the half hour mark and finished the half stronger.
2nd half MK played some good football and were quite strong and determined. It's all very well asking what happened to our players but sometimes you have to give the opposition credit for upping their game. They had to chase the game and we wanted to defend our lead.
Our two forced injury subs didn't help. GVK was not the force that Hall had been. Henry should have been subbed much earlier than he was, MK were strolling past him.
Obika was a force all game. Played really well, but blotted his performance with the poor shot towards the end when GVK was screaming for it.
Some of our idiot fans let us all down with daft antics. I was sat close to the flare that was let off and saw how upset it made two girls and their father. Then fighting with the stewards who tried to remove the individuals. Surprise surprise the police were waiting for them at half time so again more scuffles.
Me and a friend took some kids for their first time. Very disappointed with the behaviour and language of some fans. I guess I'm going to be told that kids should expect to see adults behaving like morons at football matches.

As for Ribs a brilliant fullback he is not, a very good wing back he is. His game is all about the overlap whenever he can but quite capable defender at this level. They are history, but for me both of them were far better attacking than defending and both very quick, that's what I need in a wing back as they are ur main threat but can also get back quickly for cover. Defending not being their best attribute. Silva and ribs are both better defensively than them, which has shown in our back 4 looking more solid and conceding few goals. I also don't think our 3 cb's would be quick enough and would lack a left footer needed in a back 3. I think the formation is right for the players we have, just needs a bit of tweaking in who plays. As good as rothwell is I think he weakens the midfield 2 as ruffels offers more defensively and winning the ball back, while still getting forward. I'd like to see rothwell deployed in front of them in paynes position when he needs a rest ,see what he can do there, dictating play with quick passes and breaking into the box. Maybe mowat is the player to play along side lego, I'll wait till I've seen him play to judge. The one in the hole (Payne) and the one up front (obika) pick themselves for me at the min. Rob hall is getting better and starting to offer an end product (his own words) For me I think Gino or Thomas down the other side, to offer a bit more pace and goal threat and we're there. Especially as player get used to what each other will do, and start making the runs and passes in anticipation of what others will do.

Selfie had some wise words after the game regarding the introduction of safe standing. We again had the problem of those who wished to stand causing problems for those who did not wish to stand or, as we saw, those who cannot. We had this discussion last season for the same reasons. When I spoke to the MK dons ticket office they led me to believe that it would not be a problem to move seats however, on arrival we are firmly told "sit in your allocated seat". Cue arrival of singers etc they all move into one area at the front behind the goal. (it was from this area that the flare was produced) This then disturbed all those who had, as everyone else, paid for a seat and could now, no longer see anything without standing. And, in the case of some younger fans, even standing meant they could see nothing. So, what with the flare and the congregating together of more fans than seats it was inevitable that tempers frayed and some loyal supporters pushed aside. That the flare 100% came from this group is undeniable. You all know who brought it into the ground and who lit it and brought OUFC into disrepute, again.

I take it you were the one walking around the seats waving your ticket about saying to everyone you are in our seats.. Whilst they may have been the seats your ticket said, why would you want to take your kids into that environment, even more so if it's their first game? Why would t you pick a more sedate area of the stand. After all, it's big enough. One word of advice. Don't give people the send off with a volley expletives and not expect a mouthful and confrontation in return.

No one had any choice. On arrival it was made clear that everyone, everyone, I repeat, had to sit in their allocated seats. It should be possible to purchase a seat in the area of choice. It should be sensible to allocate safe standing to those who wish to stand. It should be possible to take your children to a football match without fear of being mobbed by other supporters. If it is not then God help the future of this game.

Well the stewards I spoke to said different.. My stub went in the bin after I went through the gate. That why I and plenty of others were told to sit where we wanted.. Bloody typical! Why is it that stewards can make things up as they go along? I couldn't be arsed to argue with the steward who greeted us so we sat in our allocated seats (or rather stood) What really annoys me is that you are given no choice of seat when purchasing. If you must sit where allocated then one should have the opportunity to pick that seat. - No choice=no allocation

Anyone who was at MK Dons today will know how well MK raised their game in the second half and I think our players showed they've got some real heart to soak up the pressure the way they did and hold firm. I think we showed signs of a team moving towards the Championship. We have some very good players who just need more consistency. I'm backing Obika and Van Kessell to get goals once they've settled. There was no-one out there who wasn't fully committed and that's all you can ask for at this stage.

We were happy to stand, we can and enjoy it but i am always conscious of people around me especially those that are older and have kids. I remember when my kids were that age. Just common courtesy that's all!

Today was the kind of game that will turn a group of 11 players into a team. For 20 mins, like Bolton and Millwall away again MK couldn't live with us. We need to up fitness levels, but that will come. I've said it before, this squad, once Pep gets to know them better, this squad has the potential to stroll into the play offs, even the automatics. The quality we now have is up there with 1995/6. Yes, we would have benefited from having a target man, to make more of the chances created, but maybe we have one and he doesn't know it yet. Pep may be looking to play someone in that role as he gets to know the team. We sat far too deep for far too long, and forgot to do the basics, often missing the second ball. As for the flare, part of the problem was that the stewards didn't seem to know exactly who had done it and went for a target. Then he was let go. What kind of reaction did they think it was going to get? Half time was another tvp mess. Some guy was giving his opinion to an officer, who one minute was talking in a jokey manner. As the chap walked away, after seemingly being called a joke, said guy was taken out, after not committing any crime, in a rough manner, right in amongst the Oxford fans. What kind of reaction did tvp think they would get?

entertaining game with the correct result. (IMHO) despite the efforts of the Ref. E.g. Slight challenges to an MK player, foul to MK, scything challenge to Oxford foul to MK. MK player falls over foul to MK, Oxford player pushed over ....foul to MK. Persistent fouling of Rob Hall fouls given to MK. Where do they find them?
...and, spoiling the experience a bit, there was a particularly distasteful sounding Oxford "fan" near the back row who spent most of the second half foul mouthing off about the subs.
What a tw*t?

Why do the singers feel the need to group together at the front of the stand? If you want to group together and stand then fine but have respect for other fans and go at the top of the stand.
The ultras really don't help themselves out at times and from the sound of it, today would of caused more of a split amongst the fan base. I thought the whole point was to bring fans together and create a better atmosphere?
