Bloomin hell Clarkey has ended up there somehow, shame for him, such a good player for us, they've also got OUFC legend Jon Paul Pitman
Good luck to Whingy if he gets it, i'd like to see him get a chance
EDIT: They've got Liam Davis too

Would be a good first job for him I think. He will of learnt a lot from MApp, Chrissy Allen and Faz in his time here. They also have a pretty good squad this year down there with a lot of ex oxford players in the team.

Shame to lose another member of staff now he's got all his badges. Maybe one of the new crop of older players can step in along side lbs and get his badges. Or chrissy Hackett might step up

I never realized that when Ryan Clarke was at Forest Green Rovers his keeping coach was the former England wicket keeper Jack Russel

Nothing confirmed yet. I thought that whing was still Birmingham based? It would be a hell of a commute to be taking charge of duties down in Torquay.
Plenty of ex-U's down there, mind. Ryan Clarke and JP Pittman as mentioned, but also Liam Davis and Sean McGinty too. Oxford-born Gibraltar international Jake Gosling as well.

If he is ever going to make it in management he needs to be able to go where the work is and do his apprenticeship in the lower leagues. I assume that he has his coaching badges now? I would have thought that he is still relatively new to the Youth team coaching and so would be a little surprised if he gets the job but good luck if he does.

It Was inevitable that whoever the internal candidate that was interviewed for the oxford job would soon be moving on

After Torquays start to the season Whing is a brave man if he takes the job, could be a career elder.

Ive a feeling both applied but Whing probably wasn't shortlisted but wants to get into first team management. Chris Allen longer term is no doubt in line for Oxford one day, as he has done so well with the younger players
