A while back, when we exited the Cup, few real tears were shed: we weren't going to progress far anyway, and a match against a higher placed team may well have ended in embarrassment. How different is the feeling around the club now! The football is good to watch, and for the most part, highly effective. We can score goals, and our midfield can dominate teams on their day. Wouldn't it be nice to be watching us take on Man City at the Kassam today? And we'd have a real chance of doing something impressive. How massively far we have come!

I think that we HAVE to beat Southend, Gillingham, Rotherham, Morecambe AND Hereford to get in the proper mix in the play-offs. I think that 2 points were dropped yesterday that could prove crucial come the end of the season. Agreed though on how far we have come. Wilder and Thomas have bought spirt and stability to a failing club.

Completely agree, that feeling i had when i was sat watching us at home v gillingham seems just a distant memory now. But now there is a feel good factor around the club. What a joy it is too se us play such good football and it just shows how far we have come as a football club to attract players like Maclean, Mclaren and Craddock. If we keep playing like we did yesterday then we have got to be in the play-offs or pushing for automatic promotion. To be honest there hasnt been anything in this leauge that has scared me so far. Wilder has got the team playing some classy stuff and the link between midfield and attack has grown in strength. The only real concern is our failure to keep cleen sheets, however i think the two centre halfs are only young and will learn quickly, get this sorted and we are the complete team in L2

Obviously it will make a big difference if the can win all of these games but if we can pick up 9 points then we will still be in touch with the play-offs. We played well enough to beat Cheltenham and as long as we keep playing in a similar style we will get the points we deserve.

If we beat Southend, Gillingham, Rotherham, Morecambe AND Hereford (and what happened to the Stevenage game btw?), I'll happily come on here and guarantee automatic promotion! Scoob's spot on - 9 points from the next 15 and we'll be well in the mix come season's end.
