Sky are doing an article on Man City's upgrade to the Etihad stadium. Wow ! It includes something called the Tunnel club Premier,it is built around the dressing room and tunnel, when the players arrive they walk from the coach through the club to the changing rooms. To get from there to the pitch, the players have to walk through a glass tunnel right down the middle of the club room. Its two way glass,so you can stand against it and take selfies with the players on your side, but the players can't see you. "See the players in the unique glass tunnel, go pitchside for the warm-up and listen to the same game tactics that the first team receive ahead of kick-off. Watch the players undertake media duties including man-of-the-match presentations" Not a great lover of corporate hospitality, but this is something else. Mind you i wont be taking up the opportunity, £549 +VAT per game, again WOW !! tickets.mancity.com/hospitality-facilities.aspx?eid=17590&schedid=58700

The Dallas Cowboys in the NFL had have a similar thing. Couldn't do it like they did over here as players from opposition clubs would get coined and the like

And if money really is no object, you can opt for The Tunnel Club VVIP, which will set you back £15,000 (or the price of a brand new Vauxhall Astra).
Not so much Prawn Sandwich brigade, but more Caviar and vintage Champagne brigade.

We could have something similar. Fans in the SSL could see into the managers office. We could call it the Peep Closet...

Degenerated into a pun thing, eh? I shall save my anecdote about the types of player one could see in Howdon's Tunnel Club for another day, then. Your loss.

What on earth has football 'at the highest level' become? The sooner the whole rotten thing collapses the better.

Sort of the end process of what Charlie was talking about in the South Stand. The creation of the premium seats section leading to people taking exec boxes and so on.

I was in Melbourne last October, and it's a pretty hipster sort of place.
We ate a few times in some of the alleyways linking the main streets and did actually have a charcuterie board on one occasion, washed down with a Mountain Goat Pale Ale. Melbourne is very big on Pale Ale and many of them are excellent, with Mountain Goat being the best of the bunch in my opinion.
I was not wearing a tweed jacket of any description though.
