I heard it was his knee! Let's hope it's neither! Did you hear any different about the time frame? I was told for the season!

Out for the season after one training session?
You have to laugh or you'd cry.
Unfortunate doesn't cut it.

A mate just spoke with Eales "Pekalski has picked up a significant injury. Waiting for a full diagnosis, when the swelling has reduced. Hopefully next week" - from the horses mouth

If he has then Pep will have to look for some cover simple, it's Oxford don't expect anything less. Capaldi, Riboero so why should I've be any different.

Feel for the lad really, open about mental health issues, just come to try and further his career in a new country and picks up a serious injury on his first day of training.

That's really bad luck for the player and the club, he must be gutted.
Hopefully it's not too serious and Ivo has a speedy recovery.

As others have said, you have to really feel for him. Not that it should be a total surprise to the club. I believe that this is his third or fourth long-term injury, poor chap. When we take on several players with long-eztablished injury records, I imagine that the law of averages dictate that for every Robbie hall there will be a will Hoskins. Not saying it's the wrong thing to do. If we get a full season out of Mike Williamson then that will have been a successful punt for example. And if one or two break down but another 2 make it big then one could argue that that's fair enough.

Made it here, made it through a medical, got up the steps to the managers office. Then breaks in first session . That has got to be just terrible luck on our part as well as his

Was it ever confirmed the length of time he'd be out for? I know he went back to Sweden after he sustained the injury but I heard he was back in Oxford ..

I think reading between the lines that it might actually be a full season job, they're just not committing too far either way as with these types of injuries you just never know. Sometimes they're only out for a couple of months like Sercombe was last season but sometimes it can drag on and on and you can be out for a full year like when Jordan Graham went back to Wolves.

In the programme they suggested that he was progressing well. Let's hope that means new year rather than the season.
