Hey
First one!
I would be happy with a point, but have a feeling we might get all 3!
2-1 to us - Payne and Ledson

Looking forward to it! Not really to sure what to expect out of first game but Oldham seem unprepared without a goalie a day before season, so hard job for whoever they sign to make a debut so soon after signing. Would like to think we can get a a win to start the season so going for a 1-0 win Thomas to score.

We have a poor recent record against Oldham, reckon the fact that the keeper there meant to sign is going to get thrown in a day after signing could play apart somehow. I reckon we will win 2-0. Reckon we'll see a goal from Nelson and a goal from Hall to start the season. Eastwood will make his one inevitable great save to keep us level at 0-0.
Also Ledson masterclass incoming, he'll start the season with 2 crunching tackles and will boss the midfield.

Oldham at home last season was one of the most entertaining games I've witnessed, what with all the shenanigans at the end. Hoping for more of the same after the 8 hour round trip I'll be enduring.
Think it will be 1-1 though.

I'm going to say a 4-1 away win. I don't know why but I just think the lads will have their scoring boots on!

Predicting scores last year was a job and a half. Let's go for a 0-0...the opposition keeper comes on in a mask like a Mexican wrestler and has a blinder, leaving us to wonder who it is.

Yes, finally proper football is back!! Always get a buzz at the start of a new season, it's like a mini Christmas day early in August Time to move on from the summer shenanigans and get down to business! I'm predicting 2-0 Oxford, Wes Thomas and Marvin Johnson to get the goals The team (4-4-1-1): Eastwood Ribiero, Nelson, Williamson, Johnson Henry, Ledson, Ruffles, Hall Payne Thomas (subs: Shearer, Tiendalli, Carroll, Rothwell, Xemi, Hemmings, Obika)

Tiendalli has enough experience that just having him sat on the bench is a bit pointless, better off staying behind and doing some fitness work.

Totally different team and manager. Build up selection seemingly totally random. Most likely 0-0.

We are going to boss it. Xemi to earn his sponsorship by coming in as a wondersub and scoring the winner 1-2 for us

I think a 0-2 win for us with Hall and an own goal, even though we have a truly shocking record at Oldham

Oldham have signed Ben Wilson on loan from Cardiff to go in goal for them. Never heard of him and hope he picks the ball out of the back of his net a few times tomorrow.

That's not who Oldham fans wanted though, they wanted the guy they had last season...
A win is a win and would start the season well... personally a good win and a good performance would do confidence the world of good...

All change since the last time I went in the 90s. Ox fans have the home end now. Even though it's August, I bet it'll still be cold! It would be cold in a heatwave!
