Agreed. Well done to the club. My daughter played for U12 this season. A lot of work went into the bid and we have beaten Reading to a slot!

Agreed this was great news, especially as you have to fit a certain criteria in order to gain acceptance.

I get confused by all the different parts and teams with OUFC Football and Education Academy = 15-17s studying football and coaching as NVQ / apprenticeships? Boys and Girls Centre of Excellence = U9s to U18s teams? Scholars = Youth Team? Football in the Community? Are these all under the "Oxford United Youth and Community Sports Trust" charity? They have set up a JustGiving page as well now if anyone is interested. www.justgiving.com/oufc-youthandcommunitysportstrust/

A number of girls out of county are having trials with the Girls Centre of Excellence after Swindon Town/Wiltshire Girls Centre got culled.
Hope we take the cream of the crop on.

Effectively a college course with sports related qualifications at the end? Boys and Girls Centre of Excellence = U9s to U16s teams? Scholars = Unsure, but Youth Team I believe? Football in the Community = Kids evening/Saturday/Holiday courses And yes all these come under the Oxford United Youth and Community Sports Trust heading with is a charity with the exception of the Youth team as I think this is FA/Club funded? www.oxfordunited-yc.co.uk/
