They need to change the rules on weigh ins as it cannot be healthy to be that dehydrated or emaciated to make the weight and then load the body afterwards. Perhaps push the weight limits up as clearly a lot of fighters aren't the actual weight they weighed in at or take an average over the month before the fight and encourage a consistent weight from the fighters.

What is the point of weigh ins days before the fight ? McGregor reckons he is going to come into the ring at 170 LBs, 20 above his weigh in weight. The fight is supposed to be Super Welterweight,McGregor comes in the ring as a super MIDDLEWEIGHT I think his prediction is slightly exaggerated to be fair. Although it's possible to put on 20 pounds in 36 hours you wouldn't be in good shape. Anything in between 7 and 10 pounds is more likely. Weight limits are set but a fighter like any athlete needs fuel to burn energy. There is a weight limit which all fighters have to meet but usually have to dehydrate or cut food intake dramatically in the days before a fight. It wouldn't be healthy and pretty dangerous for someone to fight just hours after a weight in. Loads of fighters do it though, the weigh ins massively favour fighters who can load more weight back on. Canelo Alvarez has boxed at light middle despite being a full light heavy by fight night, Hatton was the same, he could gain a full stone. Not every ones body is the same, those who can bulk up quickly and effectively are at a huge advantage. The IBF has another weigh in with a rehydration maximum of 7 lbs which seems sensible and fair to me.

Mayweather has corning issues & been spending more time in his club, than gym. He weighs in at 149.5 pounds, whereas, Maccy weighed in at 153. With the 8oz gloves, seriously, can't seeing this being a dance off for 12 rounds....

Well i read the report on the BBC and its was full of praise for McGregor, saying it was not a mismatch and he was ahead up until the 6th when Mayweather took control and McGregor surprised him With his aggression from the start. Well i don't what they have been doing for the last month, because everyone has been saying that McGregor will come out throwing bombs and then run out of steam. The judges gave McGregor the first,1 judge gave him 2&3, the other judges gave the next 9 rounds to Mayweather. Pretty emphatic.

In a surprising turn, the boxer won instead of the man who isn't a boxer.
