Was our scouting system, youth policy and the excellent way our club has been run over the last few years due to Mapp or DE?
We're about to find out!
If it's DE I'm sure he already has a couple of potential replacements for Mapp lined up. All our current backroom staff will remain and we'll still be pushing for promotion this season. If not; who knows!

Still so many questions to be answered by the chairman, a hell of a lot on this forum. I just hope that he clears the air and answers them. Fingers well and truly crossed.

I can't imagine any impact on the infrastructure from MApp leaving, especially to an asst mngr role.
If he was going to be managing a club further up the food chain he might of taken a number of key people with him to fill roles, which from our point of view might be the only advantage of him going off to be an asst!

I get the opinion he had the cash and the willing as a football fan as part of the collective.

I agree but to a certain extent because MAP goes doesn't mean that it shouldn't continue. I am really hoping that CA and DF had a lot to do behind the scenes (I assume that they did). The assumption has to be that any new manager must have a similar view to MAPP (bringing on youngsters, developing players, selling at a profit etc)

Leicester will have their own recruitment policy in place I'd imagine and little interest in the Moneyball approach of OUFC as the players it uncovered would be no better than the ones they already had.
What is the situation with scouting at OUFC and in general? Do we have contracted scouts like back in the days of Jack Casley or do we employ freelancers and pay them ad hoc?
