Totally agree that it's healthy to ask questions and to challenge. Hence these genuine questions: Does this mean that Sartori is essentially the front man for another group of people? And is it in the interests of those people for DE to be cast as the villain? I'd be shocked if Sartori's 'Oxford connection' wasn't something to do with Charlie Methven. After all, didn't Charlie do some PR work for Sartori? I'm sure a link popped up on this forum somewhere that confirmed this. He's been very quiet recently

He's been very quiet recently Yes, Charlie has been very quiet recently, shame really as he must know sooo much, what with Greg just moving on and his connections with Satori and OxVox. Come to think of it so have OxVox. I'd expect some kind of statement from them re; MApp leaving etc.

Now the Sartori takeover isn't happening, I'm surprised he hasnt posted on here at all.....

When we've had owners like Kassam, yet trust eales who has just tried to flog the club back to that very man. 🤔 Let me run a scenario for you; DE as with many others losing patience with the continual statements from FK reference acting in the interests of the club, being custodian of the club and his willingness to unite club and stadium. DE (just like IL and others) makes no progress in buying the ground despite making 3 firm offers. Given no evident progress and further changes in stance from FK in the dealings from Oxvox DE decides to call him (FK) out. If you are that interested in the well being of the club and the uniting of the stadium and club then buy the club! Coughs and splutters from FK as he politely retreats and then continues to undermine DE following the JS rejection. Business can be very unpredictable and sometimes you have to adopt a stance you may not support just to try and move forward.

Business can be very unpredictable and sometimes you have to adopt a stance you may not support just to try and move forward. And no reason why a similar scenario couldn't extend to SD. DE putting £10m into the club and SD putting £10m into the stadium potentially keeps both out of pocket for years. It's feasible that DE offered the club to SD to make it a going concern, if the stadium could be resolved. Not saying this is true as I know nothing, but just throwing out a view that offering up the club doesn't have to be seen as a negative.

Afraid not, it's one of those things where u hear it and dismiss it, then u hear from a few different places and it makes u start to wonder, then U hear from someone who has been right on many things in the past and u trust. And not only that but it then starts to tie in with a lot of other things going on. I would say that this is probably the least worrying info to come out of the club. But I'm fully aware there can be a fine line between rumour and conspiracy and fact. I've stayed away from the name calling and stuff as I don't want it to be an agenda against Darryl. My only concerns and interests are oufc, that would be the same if it's Darryl in charge or firoz. Maybe more people would have been supportive of him and blind to what he was doing if he had actually achieved success on the pitch Interesting....... I heard today that the takeover went t*ts up as Eales wanted 25% of any future sales of players he got at the club, who knows what to believe but whatever happens until the ground is sorted we are going nowhere.

A well made point, made well. Oh, sorry, hold on. What's the connection between your (excellent) rumour and the ground being "sorted out"?

Can't we keep the eales out thread and just remove the personal posts? I feel there are enough people with legitimate concerns for it to be a warranted thread ?

Can't we keep the eales out thread and just remove the personal posts? I feel there are enough people with legitimate concerns for it to be a warranted thread ? It's gone now. Reason that whole thread was removed was the very personal remarks about his private life which a) should never have been posted, and b) that post had been quoted too often and removing all of those too would have made the thread unreadable.

I feel for balance, this one should be removed too. Then a new thread can be started, just called "Eales" and people can post on that with both viewpoints.

Was looking forward to reading up on the four unfair dismissal court cases and sifting through the irrefutable evidence backing up the other allegations. Now my weekend is ruined and it's all your fault you, you, you ..... flatlander! By the way, was the poster banned? His forum name read backwards could plausibly be his real name - but surely no one posting in that manner would be quite so stupid, would they?

It's interesting to see the extreme level of bitterness in some circles at DE and the volume of wild washerwomen gossip that it is generating. I feel like I missed out on even more unsubstantiated nonsense, but in reality, I didn't.
For the record, DE is not perfect and has not made all good decisions.

dont be stupid the club is in crisis and no answers are given to any questions on the other thread. no chance of a ground deal, no gaffer, no academy boss, no md, no training ground and a squad that dont have enough senior pros to fill the bench, beat to players by fleetwood, dont want to upset other clubs to get a new gaffer, a tv presenter in charge of picking the new gaffer, no top 6 budget as promised, huge season ticket and match prices over the last year. yea we are in great nick. get out now eales enough is enough.

Not much can be done on a ground deal when Kassam keeps going back on his words. Recruitment process is currently going on for new gaffer and academy boss. Training ground deal for the next year is almost done. Fleetwood pay bigger wages than us due to their owner bank rolling them big time. Have been doing it for years. The comment about upsetting other clubs was a clear dig at Leicester. Dave Jones will be vital in this recruitment process with his knowledge and contacts in the game. It would be mad not to use him. Eales never promised a top 6 budget. New players will soon come flooding in once new gaffer is in place. It's still 6 weeks until the first game of the season. Were you expecting all these things to get sorted out over night?

Well that's the Oxford Mail's headline sorted for Monday: Head-on commission between Positive Bus and Negative Bus leaves Oxford fans in confusion while search for Reality Bus continues. Don't think I'll ever trouble the journo world somehow!
