We've welcomed Greig a few times at the Ice Hockey in recent years and he's got a good interest in Hockey and is keen to keep working with Oxfordshire Sports - We're really happy to have him join our Board along with other Oxford sports fan James Lodge.

Former Daily Mirror journalist Greig stepped down as Managing Director of Oxford United last month, where he remains Vice Chair of the club’s charity Oxford United in the Community. Greig, who is forming his own business, oversaw United’s highest average Kassam Stadium attendances and record club commercial revenue last season.
The appointment follows the recent announcement local businessman James Lodge had joined the Board and underlines the club’s ambition.
Greig added “The Stars’ Board asked if I’d like to get involved and help and I was happy too. I’ve known the Board members for some time, how they operate and how passionate they are to build the club. The vision and ambition of the Board is infectious and I’m looking forward to helping support the club’s growth where I can.
“I’m passionate about Oxford, community, business and sport, so it is an ideal fit.
“I’ve enjoyed ice hockey for years, I started out as a journalist reporting on Bracknell Hornets matches and watched the Bees years ago and have attended Stars’ matches since the Oxfordshire United partnership was formed.””
Fellow Board member Russell Shrives welcomes Greig “This is a fantastic appointment for the Stars, not only with Greig’s experience and contacts but also as an endorsement of the work we’re doing here in Oxford. We’re passionate about growing sports via their communities and Greig shares that with us”
Fellow Director James Schall said “I’ve known Greig for a long time via our shared love for Oxford United, Greig joining so soon after James Lodge connected to us, has strengthened Oxford City Stars beyond our expectations. Both of them have the desire Russ and I have to build sporting success here in our County”
