Oldest professional club still in existence. I think the oldest club at any level still going is Sheffield fc. Dont know who the very first clubs to play a recorded game were though, should imagine that there were games going on earlier than that no kept records for.

Oxford University has to be one of the oldest clubs. They won the very first FA cup I believe.

Well Sheffield FC wrote their own set of rules and circulated them around Sheffield and Yorkshire for other people starting clubs and they played friendlies against local sides according to these Sheffield rules.
