Ruffles giving everything this afternoon, superb energy levels. Such an improved player from when CW was here. Slow and steady improvement and he looks every inch a L1 player. Is.

Ribs obviously has frail body shouldn't be pulling hams in only his third game. Didn't warm up properly. Needs to train with ruffs ...he's as fit as a butchers dog

Defo need to strengthen that area.

Good result that, nice 60/1 bet. Can only thank their keeper and Kane hemmings for their efforts at the end. Josh ruffles gets better by the game. Nelson and raglan a much better and strong pairing. Nice end to a very decent season .

Yes indeed seems since he did his ACL at Bristol City...he hasn't had a season completely injury free...most footballers will get injured at some stage during the season and miss the odd game, but two or more a season..... a sign of an underlying problem..
Shame as he looked very good against Bradford and I was looking forward to seeing him unshackled this afternoon and marauding down the flank as he did so well at Exeter.
I'm sure listening to his interviews though no one will be more disappointed than him. Hopefully he can use the close season to work on those weak areas.
Sam or Carroll could easily fill that berth though...so perhaps Edwards for one more season.

Northampton finished just 4 points above relegation, whereas the best team in league 2 last season finished just 4 points from the playoffs. 👀
Good result. Great season. Long few months ahead. Women's football to help fill the void. Personally looking forward to the Euros.

End of a season of progression. Overall a good one for me, exciting football, trip to Wembley (despite the result), good crop of players with the best manager backed by the best chairman we could wish for, and a growing active fanbase who get the atmosphere going. All in all, things are rosy!
That said, is anyone else a teeny bit disappointed at finishing just four points outside the playoffs? IMO we could have easily been part of them with a bit more nous, luck and finishing quality.

Nice swipe at Swindon from Chris Williams in the official match report:
"Oxford United's season ended with a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Shrewsbury Town this afternoon. Two quickfire goals in the first half from Curtis Nelson and Rob Hall eased the U's to a last-day win to see them end the season in eighth place* after an excellent first season back in League 1.
*It IS possible to state where you finish in a match report, even if not everyone does so."

Two completely different injuries of entirely different mechanisms and aetiologies is actually an sign of an underlying...nothing at all.
