in terms of our playoff credentials, i think it's important that we try and get as many points as possible, this month in my opinion, will make or break our team.
Southend (A) 3 points - Southend's home form isn't great at all and before they played a weak Macc team they hadn't won at home since October i think. Hopefully if we carry on playing our stuff we can get a win here.
Gillingham (A) 0 points - There home record is pretty good and they are definately on form like us, I think it will be a cracking game but i think we at maximum will get a point.
Rotherham (H) 1 point - They are a decent team, especially with le fondre, we will get a point at least i think. In my opinion we were unlucky not to get a point away from home even though we were completely off form.
Stevenage (A) 1 point - I think we'll get a scrappy draw.
Morecambe (A) 3 points - This will be a scrappy win. We'll win just on sheer technical ability but we'll be very tired after the run of games.
Hereford (H) 3 points - Depends on form basis. Hereford are on form at the moment and so are us. We are the better team though and should win unless something drastic happens.
I might be optimistic but this is what I think we can achieve and it will still keep us in or around the playoffs.

7 out of the next 9 are away, then 7 out of the following 9 are at home. If we can stay reasonably well in touch over the next 9 games, then we'll have a great chance in the following 9 of moving up the table. It's very difficult to predict though, we know we can beat anyone in this league but we can also lose to anyone - Chesterfield away and Stockport at home prove that point.

It will all depend on whether the defence can improve its act. Asking the forwards to score at least 2 every game is pushing things.

hopefully La-Fondre will be on hia way come 11.00pm tonight, the wheels then may fall off for Rotherham..... Port Vale, Bury and Shrewsbury are going through difficulties at the moment so we have to keep the pressure on!

We have 8 home games and 11 away games left, tall order but not out of our reach. We need to turn our good play into goals, because the pretty football is nice, goals win games.

I thought we were turning the good play into wins! Considering from the last 10 games we've accumulated 22 points (7 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats, scored 19, conceded 14). We are in the top 5 clubs or so for form in L2. No doubt it will be a hard run-in but I don't think we have the levels of expectation on us this season unlike when in the BSP whereas some other clubs do.

Most seem to think our "good play" started against Bradford, 4 game ago. 2 wins. 1 draw. 1 lose. Both the last 2 games we had spells to wrap up the game, but over played the ball around the box, we need to add a clinical edge to our play.

As we saw at Southend last night, I feel February could be a very tough month. I dont expect us to get anything away at Gillingham, Rotherham with keeping Le Fondre will beat us at home. Stevenage and Morecombe away will be draws, although we have only drawn once in the last 20 odd games. We will only start to put things right against Hereford. This will see us drop down the table and expect us to be somewhere around 14th at the end of February
Southend (A) Lost Gillingham (A) Lose Rotherham (H) Lose Stevenage (A) Draw Morecambe (A) Draw Hereford (H) Win

The big problem at the moment is in defence. We've not kept a clean sheet since September so unless things improve I can' really see us getting more than another 15 points from the remaining games. That should be enough to keep us up, but clearly won't get us anywhere near the play-offs

We win a couple and we are heading for automatic - we lose a game and we may just beat relegation?!
Football fans eh.....
It is a tough period coming up - but it would not surprise me in the least to see us win at Gillingham.
The only thing I will accept is that we will need to score 2 to do so as we can't keep a clean sheet for toffee.....

yup, in the same way our skirt with relegation was a blip, so to was our skirt with the play-offs. Mid table mediocrity for us (and, tbf, it wouldn't be too awful in our first season back).

After a draw and one loss, I don't see how you can predict that. It's not like we've lost our form, few teams in the league wouldn't be happy after a draw with Cheltenham. We'll see what happens, but no matter what it is I just can't see how people can be so downbeat after we've just come off but not yet entirely come off the best run of form we've had since last season. Say we win 3 of the next 5 games, looks very achievable to me. Suddenly we'll all be proudly predicting automatic promotion for oxford again. Yes, you can say we have a defensive problem, but that didn't stop us having an extraordinary run of form. And besides, who's to say we can't just sort it out? Gillingham have only won 1 of their last 4 matches, let's not underestimate them, but that's not a record to strike fear into the hearts of a side that one week ago beat Shrewsbury 3-1.
