Scunthorpe are looking the most likely team to slip out of the top six. They have only won 3 points out of the last 27 available (all draws) and we play them at home next Saturday.

Funny old game.
At times we were light years ahead of Posh, but Eastwood made three or four fine saves, We looked a bit brittle on occasion and got tested by Taylor who was influential all game.
Peterborough far better going forward than defending and we were so wasteful with our finishing.
Thought Hemmings worked hard, and Maguire was stylish but my MOTM was Dunkley followed by silent but deadly Edwards, the goalhanging fullback. Do you know he has scored nearly 40 goals in his career.
More great support for the yellows. Peterborough's support non existent.
Our part of ground was Seventies time warp. Expected them to be selling Wagon Wheels in the snack bar 😉

Those Sky highlights really are a pile of crud. They show more of the sending off than than they do of the the second goal so we see none of the build up.

Listened to BBC Cambridge and their somewhat deluded manager said they had something like 13 shots on goal...I suppose if you include all the row z efforts from the number 4 you could be getting there. But if that's the case we must have had 30....

Good result and a fair few of us there to get behind them. Maguire had one of those games again where he works extremely hard but the ball just doesn't quite roll. Lunny was purring through the gears and our centre backs were solid and dependable. But what can i say about Simon Eastwood? I really have run out of superlatives for the guy. He made three saves (amongst others) that were right out of the top drawer. Just a small mention for kane hemmings, who worked tirelessly up front. I was mightily impressed today with him.

Agree about hemmings, he was key to the 2nd goal. He's always in the right places the attacking players should pick him out more often.

What a strange game. I don't understand how I came away from a game we dominated, and sliced open the opposition at will for long periods, feeling like our keeper was MOTM.
I don't understand how Hall veered so frequently between looking like the best player on the pitch then the worst soon after (his first 10-15 minutes was really poor).
I didn't understand how we never managed to grips with Taylor, or that we couldn't spot Mackail-Smith drifting into the space our fullbacks kept leaving in behind when they drifted forward - exposing Dunks and Nels to potentially dangerous 1-vs-1 exchanges repeatedly.
BUT there was some fantastic football in there. At times Lundstram and Ledson were utterly superb. When Maguire, Johnson, McAleny and Hall all run at defences it is a frightening proposition. And Hemmings' work rate up top was admirable (his hissy fit when Johnson shot rather than squaring it to him for a tap in was one of my highlights of the day!)
As a general question to Peterborough - how is that stand safe? Long, narrow, rusty old rows. Little to no room to get past other people. Dread to think what might happen if there was a fire or reason to evacuate that stand quickly. That said, loved the low roof - made for a cracking atmosphere!

Their PA system was crap - I couldn't make out much of what was being said by anyone. Including 'celebrity supporter' Warwick Davies. Mind you, he was the only one who would have had enough leg room on those bloody seats. I don't think everyone COULD have sat down. Ridiculous. And what was that rabbit thing all about? Feeble support for them today, both small and quiet.
The game itself was pretty entertaining, with both goals leading a bit of a charmed life at times (both keepers made decent saves though). I think you can see why both teams are mid-table - a threat when attacking, prone to give the ball away too often and a bit creaky at the back at times.

We're 9 points behind them with 2 games in hand, so if we beat them we could potentially make the play offs. Got some hard games though as we play 5 of the top 6, so I guess it could be in our hands off we make it or not. On another note, not sure whether it's an insult to other players e.g. Hemmings when he's on the pitch and the fans are singing about Martinez etc. Think it should be sang when they're coming on.

I totally agree, I am all for encouraging players and singing their name when they need it, but I think today singing about Martinez as Hemmings was trudging off after being substituted was somewhat disrespectful, especially as Kane ran himself into the ground this afternoon chasing down defenders and forcing mistakes and with a bit better positioning and a more clinical final ball from our playmakers he could (and should) have bagged a couple today. Singing about players should be before the kick off to let them know that we are right behind them, the Sweet Dreams Ledson song again is a cracking chant but he his not the only midfielder we had on the pitch this afternoon and arguably Lundsram had a better game, team songs are needed more by the players during the match rather than just singling out one or two players..... Anyway, a good away day, a cracking atmosphere from our boys, very poor home support in numbers and noise and although our team were not firing on all cylinders we did more than enough to win the 3 points.....
