I wish l could see a win , but they will be to strong a team for us! So if we could get a draw cool. But it is going to be a very tough game so 0-2. Sorry to say! But would love to be wrong!

We play better against strong teams. Newcastle were still a strong side, so we're Middlesbrough. Hopefully they won't be as in you're face aggressive. We shall see. Has wilder taken Every point available against us since he left ?

Some of the opposition assist locations against Sheffield United.... (click for .gif) Very geeky but very interesting. I have loads of work to be doing so naturally, decided to procrastinate instead. On the most basic of the levels the game plan appears straight forward. Exploit the 3 at the back, get the ball wide. It also plays to our strengths. Just need Martinez to play in the centre of the goal rather than running the channels.

Think I'll have a punt at us getting a shock win, we're the underdogs and they will feel they should be beating teams like us. Over confidence breeds contempt.

If Nelson, Hemings, Maguire, and Hall are all rated 50/50, does that mean 2 of them will definitely start? 😉

Confident...... or arrogant? "If we're good it's going to be a tough night for Oxford" No question it will be a tough night but sounds to me he is laying the foundation for the excuses when we whoop their arses

If any one of the injury doubts were able to play tonight I personally hope it's Nelson. CB pairing were all over the place on Saturday and think Dunks looks a completely different player when partnered with Nelson. Was more like some of the performances we saw from him last season - getting a yellow card vs. Exeter on Boxing Day and getting subbed at HT springs to mind. Raglan hasn't played for months so he was going to be a bit rusty when he was playing at the start of the season he was ok tbh I would keep Raglan to be a good back up

History shows that in the five meetings between Oxford and sides being managed by Wilder over the last three seasons he has been the winner on three occasions and Appleton only once. I think it will be a tight game and that they will win 1-0 (probably from the penalty spot) and one Oxford player will be sent off.

Yeah maybe strong is the wrong word. Decent footballing sides. I haven't seen them but from what I've been told she'd are top by playing some decent football, not route one, in you're face kick the crap out of you style

If you look at our record against sides we faced last season, then allow that Wilder knows just as much about us as they did given he was Northants manager, and has already beaten us once this season, this could be a tough night for us.
They are most likely the best side in the league and we have injuries and a tired team, would take a point to stop a run of 3 straight losses at home

Would like us set up in a 'hard to beat way' tonight. 4-5-1..with Marvin and right winger told to go for it. Really need Nelson and Hall back.
Pin their wing backs back and don't give them anything easy.
A point would not be a disaster tonight..

Tough game. I predict a score draw (all you pools players, take note). Hopefully a much better performance than the weekend, too.
Looking at the rest of the month, I genuinely think we can go the next 6 games undefeated (after SUFC tonight). It's a shame this isn't at the weekend because I'm sure it would have come very close to selling out if it was on a Saturday.
Anyway, time to wrap up and think about leaving the house (park life!).

Has wilder taken Every point available against us since he left ? We do ? We've picked up 7 points from a possible 24 against the top 7... I think that table slightly manipulates the facts, though. For example, when we first lost to southend they were near the relegation places and when we lost at shrewsbury they were in the relegation places, whereas when we beat bradford they were 2nd and when we got the credible draw at scunthorpe they were 4 points ahead at the top. Strong lineup tonight. I think we could manage a draw. Will be interesting to see the Hemmings/McAleny partnership.
