Let's take each game as it comes. If we get to the play offs or autos, great, but our form will break eventually.

Well these last two seasons are certainly more enjoyable than a chris wilder post xmas collapse The support we are getting now is great and hopefully can get better. Fans are a lot more happier now that MAPP has got everything going his way on the pitch. If that miserable git Wilder was here we would be in the bottom half L2 Why bring up ancient arguments? Just enjoy what we have now.

Brilliant! Really good stuff by all involved including our ever impressive scouting department. Really tricky period of games coming up but we have a real squad now with choices all over the pitch. I'm slowly starting to believe it might just be possible.

Not an argument, it's a fact, I'm enjoying the football now more than any time in the last 10-20 years.

MAPP said it was target 50 points and then see where we could go from there. Well, it may 'only' be 49 points but with 14 matches to go, forget that detail: it is 'game on'. I make it 5 or maybe 6 clubs for the bottom two play-off places. And those clubs are: Bradford, Millwall, Peterborough, Oxford and Southend. One could count Rochdale in, as they're only one point below us with same games played, but they're on a poor run now and are not, I think, all that good. I have rated Bradford, Millwall and Posh when seen this season and Southend - well, Southend are Southend. So having gone past a bunch of nags that aren't up to all that much, we are now competing with horses of roughly equal ability, and that is much harder. Looking at the fixtures and current points total, you'd expect 75 points to be the magic number. That means another 26 points from 14 games. 8 wins 2 draws and 4 defeats. Or 7 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats. Can we do it? Of course we can. We're the form side, we've got lots of young legs etc. But we've also got to play Bolton, Sheff U, Fleetwood, Millwall, Posh, Bradford, Scunthorpe. Seven games when we could just get a bit unlucky and drop points even if we play well. We've also got to play a helluva lot of games. We've just started our run of 12 games in six weeks. But, hey ho. Barring a few numpties who thought we'd walk the league most of us would have taken this back in August,

8 wins from 14 now but don't see why we can't get more, what a fantastic squad we've assembled, all hungry to do their part and don't leave anything out on the pitch.

With all this positive form and great times, let's try consider those not doing so well for a moment......
Leyton Orient are currently in a relegation spot to go down to the conference.......

Slightly more seriously, a bunch of "six-pointers" actually can make our task easier, and we do typically play well against the good footballing sides, and do poorly against those that just erect a defensive wall.

With McAlaney out of contract at Everton at the end of the season I hope MAPP is looking at possibly signing him I would like to think terms had possibly already been agreed It was reported during the week that DE was asked if we were going to sign him at the end of the season. The answer was depends on the price, if he carries on like this he will either not be available or un affordable. But for now, bring it on. Brilliant, the lad just sees goal and honestly believes he can score at will.

Quite chuffed with my first thread...even got 1st goalscorer right. Fair Play to Apps with his team selection...looks like resting Lunny, Ledson & Marvin today that we are very focused for Loooton. Come on you YELLOWS...snap up those tickets for Wednesday...lets sell out. Coventry 40,000+ let's have a good day out at Wembley. Forget the boycott....these players deserve oursupport. COYY OTID

Brilliant, the lad just sees goal and honestly believes he can score at will. Yes, will depend on his wage requirements but as far as I am aware, he is available on a free? As he is 24? So its a question of the lad making a decision on his future come the end of the season. I have no idea if that will be (most likely) a league one offer from us, or, not impossible, a Championship offer from us - and of course, offers from elsewhere. However, this is a young squad, he is playing with (as I understand), 2 very good friends - on a team that is on an upward cycle. Of course, if a very big club come in - you wouldn't blame him but aside from that, would like to think he would be keen to sign on. Have to remember, , the lad (who is 24!!) has made, including today - 41 first team club appearances in his life. 5 of which are for us. He has now scored 10 goals in his life, 4 of which are for us. For perspective, his mate Ledson has played 44 first team games (aged 19) and Lunny (aged 23) has played 129 games. The next decision he makes is critical for him.

I thought as he turns 25 in August - he would fall outside Bosman?

Lovely stuff today from the boys.
Slick attacking play. Personal highlight for me was dunkley in a strop after running the length of the pitch for a counterattack and not getting the ball squared to him!
Whatever happens now this has been such an enjoyable season. Beautiful attacking football which is a joy to watch.

What struck me today was the work rate. Martinez sprinting 50 yards to close down defenders. McAleny working his nuts off to get on the ball. Mags putting in a shift in which the goal just didn't quite arrive. We pressed them all over the pitch. With Ruffels and Rothwell slotting seamlessly in to our midfield we just crushed them under the yellow juggernaut. Playoffs? On that performance, the race is on! Great support too from us!
