From the Swindon Advertiser " The pressure from the visitors finally took its toll in the 71st minute when Marvin Johnson got to byline and his ball across the face of goal fell to Sercombe, who despite scuffing his first attempt, was able to find the back of the net and send the travelling fans behind the goal into pandemonium.
It only took three minutes for that pandemonium to turn into hysteria when Sercombe dropped the ball off to Hall on the edge of the box and he let rip with his right foot and it dipped perfectly under Vigouroux’s bar."Now all you naughty Oxford fans, which ones of you had a hysteria attack? Swindon paper can't get that right either, Sky just showed Halls goal and it was his left foot not his right, if they don't know there left from there right god help them, on second thoughts god, don't.

Fantastic!
Man that perp walk when you need a p*ss is killer. People were helping themselves to cars and trees by the end of it. Walking that slowly through town really reminds you what a shithole Swindon is. Same goes for the stadium. We have 3 stands but at least the ladies can p*ss in something a little nicer than a scabby portable toilet.
As for the football. We had a poor first 30, then started coming into the game. Came out a different side, kept the ball down a lot more and played some good football. Great strike from Hall. To quote Andy Gray - take a bow son.
Great feeling. COYY.

What a great day out !!! We had a bit of everything today disappointment in the way we played in the first half hour and going behind. Delight in the way we dominated in the second half and the goals especially Rob Halls cracker. And comedy with those idiots running on the pitch and Chris maguire at the end. I don't think they will stay up this season which is a shame as it may be some time before we play them again and be able to sing we 8 Swindon.
Well done OUFC players management and fans!!!

Shout out to Eastwood who made a MASSIVE save at 1-0 to keep us in it. Going in 2-0 down at half time would've made for a much more difficult second half.
That second half performance was sublime though.

Eeeerrrr....is it just me, or does it look like it's the defender, and not Vigouroux, who makes the red-card challenge??

Phew I need a lie down.
Very poor for the first 30 minutes but once we got on it then it was one way traffic.
Eastwood's save was massive. Scrappy, rough, entertaining. Fantastic stuff boys.
Let the good times roll.

A couple of points after watching the highlights. 1. What was that banner about? Pride of the West Country, really? I'm Cornish and we don't even consider Bristol as part of the West Country. 2. How many empty seats? A crowd of 10.5k with 3k Oxford fans. That's a poor turnout from them. 3. Great strike from Hall. You can tell by The keepers reaction he's lost the plot. 4. Don't think their keeper should've been sent off. Will imagine the red card will be rescinded.

Scum looked like they meant business first half and we were slightly off the pace. Going in 1-0 down with Our fans strangely quiet. Second half we were dominant and they were pegged in for long periods. Just when it looked like it was heading for 'one of them' weekends we equalised. A tap in for Liam sercombe. Cue utter delight on the stratton bank. Within a minute we are winning. A thunderbolt from rob hall hit the net and we went mad. Atmosphere was great from there on. Great goal from rob hall. Game over and utterly delighted with that. Ryan Ledson. What a great game he had today. And Oh mr Maguire, you are such a naughty little scamp!

In fairness I know a couple of Swindon supporters who swear that if it wasn't for Vigouroux they would not only be in the bottom four, but probably right at the bottom. We just got the hex sign on him that's all!

Lifetime ambition is to take Nailsworth when they get to play Forest Green Rovers in a season or two. Agree a poor turnout from them. Amazing trick they have of completely disappearing within 5 minutes of the final whistle.

When Swindon were 1-0 up you could see Vigouroux was desperate to be the villain.
Every time he caught the ball he went down and lay on it the way you would when you're trying to see the end of a game out. Not at 35 minutes onwards. Then he was f*cking around with goal kicks, controlling the ball with his head and feigning injury (when Sercombe challenged him and didn't touch him). It seemed to me that he had a chip on his shoulder, no doubt from the show that he made of himself at ours earlier in the season.
As soon as we scored the second goal you could see* his head had gone when he booted the ball away. He was very, very ropey from then onwards, making bad decision after bad decision. A complete liability. On the other hand our lads were very professional and are a credit to themselves, each other and our club. They deserve our support up at Middlesbrough.
*I didn't actually see him boot the ball away at the time as I was bundled about 10 seats away.

An enjoyable day and a great result. We looked nervy in the first half but Swindon were very dirty. Every time the ball was in the air Swindon arms elbows would be aimed at Oxford player's heads. Every time we tried to run with the ball we were chopped down. I thought the referee was slow to deal with it. The fans took a while to get going but great atmosphere at the end. We outclassed them in football though and deserved the win. What a player Robbie Hall is becoming.

I have it on very good authority that he (and two others) were out in old town on Friday night......great what to prepare for a derby!!!!!!
