Living around half hour from St James park makes the performance and result even sweeter! Clint was astounding, and kept them out - highlight being the penalty save of course.
We were immense especially second half, and at times just toying with them, resulting in them getting narky and kicking us, bit of a twist on 'lower league' club versus what is all but a Premiership club.
Never mind them fielding a weakened team, Benetez said after the match he 'knew we had quality' yet obviously it made no difference, we were just far too good for them on the day.
Sore throat and head ache, old skool post match!! Proud of U's.

Great game well played by all the team definite 10/10 for Eastwood, Johnson, Ledson and Lunny 9 for everyone else and minus 10 for the Toon players who refused to shake the hands of Oxford players pompus gits sore bloody losers

Well, Charlie... not a great draw, was it? Very boring. Wish we'd drawn Watford away as you suggested.

Absolutely incredible day. We were putting them under pressure almost from the off, but when they put in some very competent attacks our defence was outstanding. Probably our biggest game ever at Grenoble Road. Obviously our getting into the promotion playoffs out of the BSP and the Wycombe match were more important, and there's more passion playing that team from Wiltshire, but this was very, very special

Yup. Huge performance from pretty much everyone really. Ledson puts in some massive tackles (and gets away with them!). Johnson scared them witless in the second half (probably in the first too, but it's difficult to see from the East Stand!) - a couple of absolute class moves playing past their RB and collecting the ball in front of him. Eastwood - don't need to say anything. Dunks as ever won everything. Class all round. Best I've seen this season.

Well, Charlie... not a great draw, was it? Very boring. Wish we'd drawn Watford away as you suggested. I' have been really delighted to have beaten Watford as well. And we'd have made twice as much. What I actually said - fake poster - is that I'd be hugely excited about the game whoever we drew, and would see it as a huge deal to make 5th round whatever happened. But I don't see anything particular about Newcastle today that made a difference. Any away team would have brought 1500, very few stars on the pitch, no TV money - it was US that made it special today, not them. If you don't believe me, please don't tell me that drawing another Championship club in the next round would be a great draw! Any draw is a 'great draw' when you win it, but a little basic objectivity, please: surely a 'great draw' will be a big club away, a really good draw a big club at home or a 'winnable one' at home (ie a game one is favourite for) and a decent draw would be a Premier League game full-stop as we'd be guaranteed the telly at least.

Ha ha. You're right. Fair enough. Am so chuffed tonight that I have changed my mind. But can we both agree that yet another Championship club would n be a 'great draw'? Anything a great draw now really. 5th round of the cup? It's fantastic. Erm, is too much to ask that we avoid the lobotomy? Given that the club chairman has just said, or implied, that he is struggling, not 'any draw is a great draw'. We would hugely benefit from getting a Top 6 side away from home. It could be transformational. That would be a 'great draw'.

And, yes, even if it's Huddersfield away I'll be there will bells on, nervous as a teenager. This is the DRAW we are talking about, not the 5th round game itself.

Yes, quite good coverage, except for the curious spelling of Hall as "M a g u i r e". The poor writer probably couldn't read what was written on the player's shirt. Living around half hour from St James park makes the performance and result even sweeter! Clint was astounding, and kept them out - highlight being the penalty save of course. What a day! Eastwood absolutely unreal. Ledson first half was absolutely everywhere, up in their faces and they hated it. I mistakenly thought Hall and Hemmings were anonymous first half, and maybe they were, but I assume they were doing what we could appreciate better second half - constant running at their defenders. Johnson has become, I think, the most dangerous player on the team.
Newcastle had moments of real quality going forward, I think showing that if their full starting XI had played we would have been blown away. but Rafa showed he had totally underestimated us with his team selection, which I had absolutely not expected.
Last 16!! Arsenal or Spurs away please! We're due a big away day in the Cup

What a result so proud of the club. Been telling anyone who would listen all week to watch out for oxford knocking out newcastle sat and hoped we would get a replay minimum. I thought Kane played well today he worked hard pressing from the front putting up more of a challenge in the air and made some good runs which martinez could of played him in for. Another £100 000 earnt and another draw to look forward to. Some of that attacking football 2nd half was quality.

What a great result, absolutely buzzing! So pleased to have been there. Overall, the performance was one of the best I've seen at the KassStad and the second half one of the best team performances I've seen in 50+ years of watching OUFC. Johnson and Eastwood both excellent and everyone else contributing. Toni Martinez looks a very exciting player, much stronger physically than Tyler Roberts, for example. With Toni on the right and Marvin on the left, I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the season!

He's always right in the face of defenders and the keeper. He is shit in the air though, no doubt about that (and that's what we've lost with Taylor, honestly). Very excited at the prospect of both him and Martínez on the pitch together at some point.

Well that went beyond my expectations. I thought it would take a great performance to get anything out of today, and you could see from the first whistle the lads were well up for it, and played there socks off. I said at half time to my brother would be happy with a replay, but right after time we were in front. So whatever Benitez said to his players went out the window. The second goal was crucial. They looked quite dangerous at times, and had opportunities, but lacked any cutting edge in the final third. Great to see young Martinez get off the mark straight away. Will do him the world of good, and hopefully the first of many. I don't think the penalty was a pen, and felt it was justice that he missed. Thought Eastwood was magnificent today he was my man of the match. The rest of the lads weren't far behind.
Thought the referee was generally poor, but who cares what a time to be an Oxford United fan. Exciting times ahead and most definitely on the up!

Greatest fa cup victory in my lifetime ( excepting maybe the win at home to Swindon ) and I'm living the dream at the mo!! Kiddies season tickets with me this year have been disinterested and disillusioned at times but today they are absolutely buzzing and I can safely say that they will never forget today!!! I have my tickets for Swindon next week and Monday off work so I'm having a kiddie free day and if you see a manic bastard from Bicester going mental with no kids to play role model to you will have met me!! Apposlogies in advance but today was amazing and unbelievably I think next week might even be better!! COYY! X

Absolutely buzzing
Appleton deserves so much credit for building this squad of hungry young players & Eales deserves credit for backing him.
Midfield two Lunstrum and Ledson were immense today. Eastwood top drawer.
How disappointing were the toon army, so quiet, hardly made a noise all game.
