We are hoping to resume service at the buffet later in the year, possibly in March when the Eales season opens and salsify dots the Osney Meads.

I'm surprised someone hasn't said this already. Is it back in use because Benitez will be in town?

I wonder how much of the £99 a ticket the club get to keep? I would guess fk has not moved on the price the club pays him (unless up) So I assume the 25% increase on last season is what the club makes £25 Plus the cost of a ssu ticket £20 . 50/50 split ? £45 for a 3 course meal with hot drinks to fk, £45ish to the club

I wonder how much of the £99 a ticket the club get to keep? I reckon they'll get all/majority of the sale proceeds over the amount that Firoka charge. Firoka charge a price to the club to include food, staff, utilities and then the club, previously, mark it up accordingly. Last season what was the price? £35-£40 per head.....? Firoka might have put their costs up a tad (and who'd blame them) after being messed about all season especially when the club change their mind on the restaurant, either do it or don't......then along comes Newcastle and an FA Cup tie and the chance to cash in. Clearly the club need to maximise profits and give it to Appleton....

Clearly the club need to maximise profits and give it to Appleton.... Simon I thought the club said that they had lost money on the Restaurant last season and that was why they were not running it this season. I had assumed that the reason for the £20 increase for the FA Cup game was to give some profit to the club. Was the real reason for cutting the Restaurant about cutting a Stadco revenue stream with the club making relatively small profit. When Mark and I met the Stadium Manager four or five years ago to discuss the possibility of a Restaurant he suggested that a three course meal costing less than £20 would be viable. I think the quality of food was probably slightly higher than that last season but I would expect to pay in a reasonable restaurant no more than £30 for the food for the level of quality provided in the Kassam Restaurant last season so it always puzzled me how there could not be a decent level of profit for the club when charging £79. Something like £79 for the package, less £25 ticket less £30 to `Stadco = £24 to club.

I believe StadCo put their prices up for this season for use of the room/catering. Just like with the coffees for the lounges (the quote was in the realms of £1000 a match).
