This could be Appleton's last game as it looks likely the England under 21s will poach him. Let's end his reign with a bang and smash Rotherham. Thank you so much for the memories Michael- wishing you all the best for the future and make them practice penalties- for God's sake!

Hell no, Dave. I never doubted that your little rose was unsullied by mustelid ingress. I was wondering what Yorkshiremen talk about - rhubarb, tea, where they hide their sixpenny bits, that sort of thing. Oh, I see, Paul. Well, it WAS over 36 years ago, of course, so my memory, although still in reasonably good working order, isn't as sharp as it once was. But, and I say this with absolute vividness and affection for our Northern friends; the discussion my friend and I had, relating to how Yorkshire folk went about their everyday, fascinating lives, centered on their affection to whippets, ferrets and bovine fornication. I think it was the latter that finally got their attention. I think the words: "F*ck off out of this club, or we'll shove a Yorkshire ferret up your carrot-crunching arse!" comes to mind. Hence the confusion over the actual insertion of said creature. Dave (I wonder what it would be like to have a live ferret whacked up the arse) Cudd

Play the strongest team possible which in my opinion would be:
Eastwood
Edwards, Raglan, Nelson, Skarz MacDonald, Lundstram, Ledson, Hall Maguire, Hemmings
I wouldn't mind seeing Johnson perhaps playing up front, his pace could cause problems and he's probably got more of a goal threat than Hemmings and Taylor at the moment! He's wasted at left back and we will need more defensively as let's not forget Rotherham are in a higher league. Hall has left wing sewn up si we've got to get our money's worth for Johnson somehow.
It's going to be tough for us today, I'm hoping we can at least be in the hat for the next round.
It'll be interesting to see if the current squad is as good as the worst team in the league above.

Will be a weird one today - might even feel like a run of the mill league fixture at times.
How many Oxford fans are we expecting? Saw someone say 900 tickets have been sold

Hall sent off before HT. We hold out for nil nil. Sadly we lose the replay after being drawn home to Chelsea. Wish It could be better but there it is.

From Appleton's quotes in the OM this morning, it's pretty clear Johnson's going to stay at LB for now. He reckons he's "causing mayhem" and is in "incredible form".

I'm usually a glass half full kinda guy, but games like these (opponent in league above but struggling to the extent we're almost favourites) always give me a bad feeling. Can't shake a 1-0 loss today for some reason...

Sercombe on the bench, 8 weeks after that horrid knee injury (at Merstham?)
Replacing Tyler Roberts in the only change from last week at Gillingham.

Amersham Dave will run on the pitch at half time and bite a dog. Other than that i'm contractually obliged to say 3-0. Hemmings and Taylor to share the goals. No appearance from the lucky gloves so good luck to all those making the journey.
