Looks outside to me but I'll take it! As Toeby has already said - on the line therefore penalty. That's the law.

Been reading their pitiful fans forum. We are their bogey team apparently. Hilarious. Second best team, fans and management. No class, grace or desire. We had it all today and that has got to hurt.

I was unable to listen to the game online as I was at work this afternoon, and was also unable to check my phone for the score. Work is directly opposite a karaoke bar, and at about 5 o'clock, they began singing Sweet Caroline. It was at this moment that I knew beyond all doubt we had won.

An easy win against the worst team (by a long way) we have played this season, they reminded me of the teams that were bottom half in league 2 last season, once we were in front you knew we had won.
Best thing is they look like a relegation side, be brilliant if that happens.

I must have attended a different game to the BBC. According to them, the scum had 52% possession,10 shots,3 on target. I only remember 1 shot on target and 2 in the car park and as for 52% possession ?

Eastwood made two first class blocks from shots in the second half. Obika had a low left footed effort easily saved at the death.

Forgive me for being rose tinted but isn't this OUFC side capable of promotion? I actually think Appleton is one of the most ruthless managers I've ever seen. He drums out underperformers in a blink of an eye. We have added pace and strength in the last month; this squad look ready to go.
Swindon had some talented players out there but we were so game savvy compared to them. The work rate we showed was tremendous.
I did not see a single scummer outside the ground before or after the match. They are seriously intimidated by us these days. I won't be happy though till we make it 12 in a row.
Best moment of the day was the young amputee teeing up a searing volley into the net at halftime. Tremendous!
COYY..

I don't know yet but there are encouraging signs and we have players still settling in like Rothwell and Ledson who presumably have just moved away from home for the first time and Johnson who has had a whirlwind 10 days or so. Once they've settled in I think things will improve further. I think we might be able to finish in the top ten which wouldn't be so bad in our first season at this level with this bunch of players

We had bigger attendances than both Northampton and Bristol Rovers yesterday. We are clearly the bigger of the promoted clubs and I think the table will start to reflect that more as the season goes on.

An excellent display from the kick off thru to the end. Pleased that even in injury time there was no let up. Maguire was unplayable, Lunny back to his best. Actually think the whole team played their best footy this season.

Having watched it again it was a naughty challenge from MacDonald, he had both feet off the ground after jumping into the tackle. But I don't think there will be any retrospective action, the ref saw it and gave a foul so if he thought it should've been a red for the tackle he would've given it after giving the foul. Sounds silly but we thrashed them....with a dubious penalty and a 100/1 deflection!!. The last 20 minutes we were cruising so much the players refused to score!! What an awful Swindon team........ [ excluding their No.3 who was pretty decent]. I personally would have liked us to have been more clinical during those last 20 minutes, we seriously could, and should have, bagged at least another couple.

Great result and great performance by all, but if only Johnson had squared that ball to Maguire..would have been first hatrick against over bitter rivals which he would have truly deserved! Loved the fact that moments before Maguire scored the penalty the Swindon fans were singing "who the f*cking hell are you?", then for him to run towards them turn his back and point towards his name!! Brilliant. He definitely knows how to play the big games!

It was a poor challenge and MacDonald was lucky not to get a red and can actually understand why their keeper reacted as he did, certainly don't think he should have been sent off.

He's the sort of player you love on your team but gets right under your skin if he's against you!

We definitely won't beat that. We'll struggle to reach 3000 never mind 5000. Would be nice though.

I am allowed to say that I was a bit disappointed with the scum yesterday?
On the pitch they looked awful. With better decision making and finishing (which we NEED to work on) it would have been a rout.
How many fans did they bring? Couldn't hear them. I'm not in Oxford these days but I understand that things were quiet before and after as well.
I usually have a spin around on opposition forums after we've played someone - good source of opinion on our performances I find. The scum forum I visited was, well...limp. They seem resigned to losing to us.
I suppose after 6 crushing disappointments in a row it's hard to be positive. 😀

To be fair that was a cup game, against what should be one of their rivals only a few miles down the rd. Be like us getting scum in an fa cup 4th round away in sure we could take near 5k to that

Agree about Macca's challenge, my 1st thought was red card but the Ref seemed to let a few challenges if that type go. Atwell may have also thought Macca had a right to go for the ball but he lost 'control'. Still think it was a red though. As for their keeper, he had to go for his reaction as he pushed Macca in the neck/face with both hands. As a result, he could have got a straight red himself for stupidity rather than a 2nd yellow. He also got a stupid yellow for his 1st booking getting involved unnecessarily. He just got angry in the 2nd half and couldn't handle us, the crowd. If other opposition fans pick up on this then he could be in for some rough rides this season. He reminds me of Eric Nixon for reacting to a crowd.
