Having ridden my motorbike from Liverpool to the stadium today in lashing rain I was hungry so I asked for a burger with onions in the SSU only to be told we don't do onions only plain burgers!!!! So I had a hot dog which was warm not got, and the best bit you get free ketchup but there is no bin to put the plastic wrapper in.
surely onions is not to much to ask but perhaps I was a bit tetchy seeing as I had ridden all that way.
And it was not that tasty either.

Lesson 1 - don't buy food inside the ground. The quality is, and as far as I can remember always has been, shite.

Lesson 1 - don't buy food inside the ground. The quality is, and as far as I can remember always has been, shite. This lesson I knew but after leaving the Isle of Man at 6.30am to get the ferry over I decided for the first (and last) time to purchase something. Pies may be good, but dressed as I was in motorcycle gear I decided I didn't want to drop pie all down the front of myself and would rather actually hold something. It won't happen again.

Yeah, would agree with that. Would Definitely recommend the pies, and pasties though. They were talking last season about getting more equipment in, to do onions, as well as things like mushy peas to go with pie and chips.

The hot dogs (with onions) from the wagon outside have always been acceptable. Inside, stick to the pies.

Can't understand how people find it difficult planning ahead and eating something before travelling to a match and/or taking something with them. Boiled 'sausages' accompanied by boiled onions in a white tasteless bun = sh1te. And although grateful for the gesture, the 'free hot dogs' served up on behalf of DE at Carlisle end of last season were of this category, and were stone cold- I took one bite and felt like throwing up.
