I know there is a thread about the floodlights, but did anybody else see the state of the gents toilets in the left side of the east stand?
They were a disgrace. I went in at just after 2pm and the urinals were dirty (as if they hadn't been cleaned for a few weeks) and the cubicle loos weren't better either.
Did anybody else have similar experiences in another part of the ground?
I assume we pay stadco a service charge, it makes me wonder what we pay it for.

I concur. I complained last season about the disgusting urinals. When I take my 9 year old daughter I have to remember to take toilet seat cleaners it's a disgrace.

Such a shame that a club and fanbase as good as ours has to make do with such a poor landlord who is so lacking in respect.

Not just the left side, the right side toilets are just as bad! The stadium company really need to be taken to task on this, they are more than happy to take money from OUFC but won't give anything back.

Please send any such gripes to OxVox and we'll look into it. It would help if people could be specific about the problem and exactly where it is.

This happened a few years back, the cleaners had used the wrong chemical/bleach on the metal urinals cuasing them to rust.

I'm sure by now that someone will have by already reported to OxVox of the internal down pipe leak at the back of the North Stand of yesterday? This heavy internal blockage was just yet another annoyance in a ground which is now in desperate need of a full on inspection (judging by other fans comments) and of course a full on programme of any updating which will need doing- something which in normal tenants conditions should come as standard.................(sorry, silly comment by me as it will no doubt be anything other than standard) Also where the hell is the scoreboard as I had trouble keeping up with the scoring on yesterday's game...COYY

I wonder who is actually responsible for maintenance etc, if you rent a property to live in it's the tenants responsibility to clean and the landlord to maintain it, fix things etc.

I agree with nick68. Trouble is we are not privy (pun intended) to the terms of the lease and the extent of what is or isn't leased to the club.So we have no idea if cleaning to loos is the responsibility of the club or stadco. Perhaps someone from the club would care to led some shite ( sorry, shed some light) on the shituation.

Presumably, as the catering was nothing to do with the club, it stands to reason the "cleaning" is also nothing to do with the club.

Totally different, the catering like the conference is a business that he makes money from. Cleaners are more like ground staff. Oufc had to pay to renew the pitch they pay the ground staff, and stewards. Quite possible they have to then clean also clean after use

Strictly speaking, we chose to pay for the pitch to be done but could have let the lessor do it as per the lease. Kassam previosuly did the bare minimum to maintain it to a standard, so the club funded instead. Bit like the Priory, it's Kassam's responsibility but he seems to be dragging his feet somewhat in that regard.

It is suggested elsewhere that we don't even have a lease, just a licence to play our football matches at the stadium. For all the pages of comment that has and continues to take place about the Stadium, I've not yet read anything that gives a proper insight into what exactly the terms of our tenure are. I accept that it's probably commercially sensitive and not our place to know, but it's impossible to have a reasoned discussion on the topic without some idea of what the club's status is regarding the stadium.

It's reasonable for Oxvox to ask the club who is responsible for the cleaning of the stadium. It is also reasonable to complain about the cleanliness of the toilets as well. SSL was pretty horrid a few weeks back.

These things are part of a bigger conversation that OxVox are having with the club, and we do have a copy of the lease/licence (not supplied by the current management if firoz kassam is reading this!)

Or whatever the specific verbiage is. Lease, license, whatever. Within it, will be content about what we pay for and what they pay for. What they are responsible for maintenance wise. Etc. A normal commercial agreement. I believe John Evans had a copy of the license a few years back, but I'm not sure if anyone else does.

A 1.2m waterless urinal costs under £400. Why not look to get local businesses to chip in towards having them all replaced under a sponsorship deal?
Let's be honest, a big advert above each urinal will get more views than a player sponsor in the programme. And I'm sure that companies could be humorous and creative with their adverts to appeal to football fans, and it could give small companies a chance to invest in the club.
On a similar note, I would like to see more creativity in the concourses. Why not produce poster sized pics of the players with their sponsor details underneath? It will brighten up the soulless walls and give more back to those who invest into the club.
Equally, I'd love to see tv screens that play back highlights of recent games, or player interviews. Add in a few heaters and the place might become a bit more bearable.
I know that this should be the responsibility of Kassam, but the outlay would be relatively small and have a big impact on the matchday experience.
