Not talking about a whip round but some sort of ground shares scheme where fans could purchase as many or as little shares as they can afford?
Pie in the sky I guess as we may not have a large enough fan base. But I was just thinking about it as some other option to actually own our ground.

Their situation is very different to OUFC's though. You beat me to posting this as that is why I came to this part of the board. Their landlord is the City Council and the lease allows them to buy the ground for 10 times rent at certain anniversaries- one of which is this year. Their rent is "only" £130k a year or so but that increases on promotion to Champ or Prem. The owners are talking of buying the ground through the club with no rent. Given their past history of near extinction just after the last time the ground was bought from the council there are some reservations although it looks like the chairman has played a blinder with that statement. Their version of OxVox took out an ACV on the ground which seemed to annoy the board. The trust withdrew from regular meetings with the CEO and issued a pretty harsh statement, only for the club to do this! Interesting times down in Plymouth where I live now!
