Could it be used for the Leicester game?
Maximise attendance Maximise revenue Stifle Leicester support
With the amount of neutrals that will be interested in this game I think it could work.

Do you seriously think leicester support needs 'stifling' in pre season friendly?

Never going to happen. Although the ground will be full of neutral supporters!

If anything, Liecester deserve a fair allocation. This is the only English game they get preseason and they are very graciously giving us the gate receipts.
Having said that, this is an absolute must win game. I think if we don't get a draw, questions will have to be asked of Appleton.

I would be inclined to give at least half the north stand to Leicester fans or even the whole stand seeing that they chose to play us and we're the only pre season game for them in England. ( tin helmet at the ready)

I doubt Leicester will sell 5000 tickets (if given the whole north stand) but I can see them bringing 2500 so I would give them half the stand.
As much as it's big for the club I personally don't get excited about pre season friendlies and know quite a few others who don't. This is a game for the club to show case themselves to the neutrals and try and get some new fans through the doors.

( tin helmet at the ready) FRO!! We have a lot of very passionate fans in the North Stand and I for one don't want to be giving my seat up to any visiting fan. f*ck em, friendly or not, give them half of it, if they can sell them!

Worried about the emergence of plastic neutrals for this one. Happened at West Ham a couple of seasons ago. The Dildo Daves decided to give the "local community" tickets for a fiver or something for their match against Man City. All well and good til City scored and the not so educated plastics sat in the home end started cheering, needless to say the Hammers fans were not impressed to say the least and some slaps were dished out. Imagine similar in our seats if Leicester score?....

Give them the normal allocation.
It's time we stopped all this crap allowing away fans in Oxford seats. It's only a friendly FFS………..

Will it really be a sell out? I know they won the prem, but it's still Leicester. Can't see we should give them more, fans will possibly use it to see if they want a season ticket in the north stand in their own seats. Plus they should hopefully have the tempo stand anyway. Could be a record attendance IF we sell out.

Course it will sell out, every Sky Sports loving neutral and his dog will want to come.

Course it will sell out, every Sky Sports loving neutral and his dog will want to come. True, some of the recent friendly home game have been very low attendance, and quite highly priced. Still not quite the neutral draw of man Utd or Chelsea, but I suppose the prem title carries a bit more weight

Remember it's on a Tuesday night, I would imagine the Leicester fans would rather spend their money on a trip to Parkhead on the Saturday than come to Oxford on a Tuesday night.

Why would 5,000 Leicester fans want to travel to Oxford on a Tuesday night to watch their B team play?!
I don't care if the Oxford fans that attend are die-hard or once a season types - the revenue is all coming our way so the more the merrier. Plastic fantastic.

Just a thought Seeing as Leicester have agreed that we can have the gate receipts maybe if you buy a season ticket you get a ticket for this game for free

A free Leicester ticket is not realistically going to persuade anyone into buying a season ticket, and season ticket holders are the most likely to go

Pretty sure if we sell 4,000 season tickets (why the hell prices aren't out yet I will never know) - 3,000 of them will pay to watch this game so that is 50K in our sky rocket. I know we want to reward season ticket holders but we still need cash. This game alone will pay for the Temp Stand for the season AND probably for another player if we get 12,000 @ £15 average (60K stand and 1.5K a week player plus have enough to cover expenses of the night).

Leicester will be giving it the big one now they have won the league. We have to outsing them and show we are better fans supporting a club with a better history.

I am a believer not only for this game but missed opportunity - AWAY fans Oxford Mail - North - ALL Oxford
With no segregation increase potential total gate and for Oxford still have the same amount of tickets
Prove my logic wrong !!
