A gaggle of geese will fly over the stadium If they were flying over the stadium they'd be a flock, technically speaking geese are only a gaggle when on the ground. Sorry for that. Expecting the scoreboard to behave flawlessly could be asking for trouble, too, but it's your neck. On the subject of fowl; there'll be posters running around screaming blue murder if we don't win this today. I think we will. COYY!

Just testing to see how many clever people go on here! Ahem! Actually the correct term for a flock of flying geese is a f*cking SKEIN. Which opens the question of................Ken SKEEN

Listening in from Iran again, where somehow YP is always pin sharp - no doubt all the CIA satellites. Got to say I'm terrified about the run in, so again today would do my heart a world of good as well as the team.

I would take a point today with us being further under strength ? Arguably our easiest match that we have left! So quietly confident for three points! I'm waiting for the team news to be announced before I judge how easy this match is supposed to be.

En route to the game now. First visit to Crawley and one would hope the last too. Nothing against them per se but the prospect of playing Coventry, Swindon, Sheffield United and Bolton is far more appealing than Crawley.
Convinced we've got enough to get a win with our squad. Also convincing myself that Mark Yates has enough from his players to spoil it and claim a draw. Wins are the currency we need now. We showed a good turn of foot at the end of last year when we pulled clear of relegation (Kyle Vassell's one moment of glory against Carlisle anyone?) and we need that spirit again albeit for different reasons.
Go in with the mindset that we must battle for those three points and let our quality count and we can do this.
COYY!

I will be pretty disappointed if we only come away with a draw, a defeat would be devastating . Has to be 3-0 to us. Just leaving hotel, for a short ten minute drive down the road.

Closest fixture this season for me. Only 18 minutes by car.
But yes, we're in the business end of the season. A definite must-win.

Could be last chance to prove his worth. I'd have Definitely gone with Waring if roofe's out. Didn't train on Thursday with a knock apparently

That side is still more than good enough to beat Crawley plus Roofe coming on against tired defenders is only going to be a good thing.

Bbc Oxford Bowery a knock Long may be out for the season. Maguire hasn't done enough in his second spell. But what a time to prove his worth in a preferred position. (Spot on). Roofe not eaten for 3 days

Big big game, good starting eleven but a little worrying when you look at the bench. Still think we have the quality to win, drawing is not a disaster but a loss?, well, I don't even want to think about that!
Maguire, this is your moment, do the business please!
Crawley 1 Oxford 2 - Maguire and Hylton

Weirdly, #oufc's record when Roofe hasn't started is better than when he has: With Roofe in XI: W23 D13 L9 Without Roofe in XI: W5 D1 L2

As its Grand National day it seems timely to look the going ...
Good to soft out there, I reckon. Benji is caked in mud just from his warm up and there's a very soggy looking patch of grass just to the left of the end we're at.
Attritional looking pitch.
