Just a footnote to the game today... Praise to Josh Ruffels, who has stood in manfully for one of the standout players of the season; John lundstram. Unsung maybe, but he has put body and soul into keeping us in the hunt for the automatic places. Not everyone's favourite, but he has worked his nuts off to keep us ticking along. This is a whole team effort. Very well done lad! Thought the tackle on Ruffels was horrendous and deserved a red card. Could have broken his leg. To be honest the way the ref shot over there reaching for the card from his pocket as he ran , looked as if it was going to be a straight red. Normally a ref will check the injured player and give the offender a bollocking and then yellow card him. You have to wonder, due to him being so bloody useless, whether he meant to red card him but pulled the wrong one out. He was a right useless t*at yesterday, only surpassed by the bloody lino at the Oxford end.

What happened with the Crawley bloke in shirtsleeves who was jeered as he walked in front of the Oxford standing fans on saturday, someone said he was a steward but he did not have a yellow jacket on. I was in the seats and could not see why he was getting stick as he walked off.

I was in the seats and could not see why he was getting stick as he walked off. That was the steward who decided that he wanted to have a fight with an Oxford fan and offered to meet him in the car park to sort it out. Very professional, I must say! Both he and the fan in question started moving towards the exit, then the bloke's boss told him not to be such a pillock and moved him away to the other end of the stand. Hence all the Cheerio's!

When Crawley were 1-0 up he covered and tackled decisively after Evans had been skinned by Gwion Edwards (Crawley no.7). Crucial tackle! BTW I thought that Edwards was Crawley's standout player and would be worth recruiting for next season, if as I fear we lose a couple of our star players.

Ex-Swansea City winger Edwards is out of contract this summer - Wales international too.

Ex-Swansea City winger Edwards is out of contract this summer - Wales international too. Appreciate your information about Gwion Edwards. In my opinion, he was the only Crawley player who showed any quality/class. He scored for CTFC against us in August, and has a decent return of 13 goals in 74 appearances. Our scouts would do well to keep an eye on him. I reckon he could do a decent job in League 1 - not unlike Adam Hamill of Barnsley in some ways. COYY

Hope that Saturday's Referee gets to see the photo of Josh Ruffels calf injury. He may then question his own decision to award a Yellow Card and not a Straight Red!

"Don't be a big pussy, Josh. That's only a studs up late challenge to the side of your knee that could easily have ruptured your crucial element ligament and ended your young career. In the challenge I recently made I won the ball cleanly with a robust challenge which quite rightly was penalized with a red card. I didn't mind missing out on a wembley final with my entire family invited and missing out on crucial end of season games." said John Lundstram never EVER!!!!!
