I did wonder if anyone would start this... Draw okay in my opinion, a win would be better and for Newport to do us a favour

Ref tomorrow is Scott Duncan. Was the Man in the middle in our home loss to Millwall in the JPT area final . Apart from sending off their man, cant remember too much about him.

Tough game, Allen is a wily manager and he got one over us earlier this season. Normally I'd say an away point is never a bad thing but as everyone has a game in hand on us we need the points.

Since we've been back in the Football League, I've been to a dozen away games or so (not many, yes) and I've only seen us lose at West Ham. I'm a lucky omen, so I can see, in my crystal ball, a win here ('cos I'm going); Barnet 1 Oxford United 2 (Skarz and Sercombe, pen) Att: 3992 with 1324 Yellows fans. But its events off the ball that is getting my juices going. I predict: Skarz, Roof and Sercombe will get into a three-way fight, over who's going to take any penalties that we might get. Roofe will get a broken nose, Sercombe a broken coccyx and Skarz will just break wind. A cow will run onto the pitch, being chased by ..............yes, you've guessed it.......... a dog. It will be very stormy during the game, and lightening will strike the crossbar where the Oxford fans are situated. The game will be held up for 34 minutes whilst the groundsman has to repaint the crossbar. Their scoreboard will go haywire in the storm and say: Barnet 1 Oxford 345-6 declared. A Barnet fan will bring a ten-man orchestra into the ground and they will play 'God save the Queen' all through the match. George Osborne will hear about this and resign from politics, saying he's had enough of hearing our national anthem. The loud speaker system will explode after 46 minutes. 200 extra Oxford fans will turn up at half time, after mistakingly going to Underhill (where Barnet used to play), and getting lost going to The Hive, because no-one had a Sat Nav. Oxford will forget to bring their away kit, forgetting that Barnet also play in Gold tops. The only way you will be able to tell the difference between the two teams, is that Barnet will have the slightly darker boot laces. The referee will send off four players from Barnet. Lundstram will take a corner, but kick the ball so hard, his boot will fly off and land on a police officer's head. He will be arrested, but let off with a caution. The officer will resign from the force and join the rock band, U2. After 78 minutes, the ref will fall down and injure his coccyx. One of the linesmen will take over. A Barnet fan will let off a firework. That just about does it for me.

Really looking forward to this as its my first away game in ages and the lads first away since he restarted following the U's about a year ago
Got to win to keep the gap as it is, or even widen it. Think Barnet have one of the best home records in the division but we're not bad away so think ( hope) we will do it today.

You forgot to mention the dodgy pre match vindaloo which results in COD leaving and weaving a liquid brown trail from one penalty area to the other, and then injuring his coccyx...

4-1 oxford. Roofe x 2. Dunkley and O'Dowda. Desparate for a win as any type of draw or loss and we will hear about how Martin Allen is a wily old fox who out thought appleton. A tactical genius who only decides to put the effort in against us. Cringe.

Martin Allen is a canny old bird and Barnet have a very respectable home record. I'd take a point as a good result, but we do need three to feel comfortable! But hey, this is Oxford United we will be made to sweat until the last minute to secure our promotion slot. It was ever thus.

Also "canny old bird" is just as bad for the post above!

He is, but both managers have acknowledged that the last game came down to them scoring and us wasting chances. I respect Barnet, but the loss was as much on us as it was them for playing well. It will be interesting to see how we start the game today. If we are on it like we were Tuesday, good things should happen

We had a mind bending spell of sheer stupidity and conceded 3 goals which any other day would have been defended. My concerns centre on how the hell did Barnet beat so many top teams at home? What did they do? Still, going for a win and more goals to top up our plus tally.

Three points here would be absolutely fantastic, Barnet have a solid home record they will want to preserve, and we score 2 on average every away game this season. Should be a good game! Hopefully the quality we have will come through, and we can win the game.
My prediction is Barnet 1-3 OUFC.

Their home form is good but our away form is better; we are second, they are 15th. We will win. Barnet away was my first ever OUFC away day (in the 2011/12 season) and that day we won 2-0 (if anyone remember the scorers fair play to you, I think it was liam davis and a central midfielder..?), so I will be going for a repeat scoreline out of sentimentality.
Should be a thoroughly entertaining fixture though.

Where is everyone drinking? Currently in the Globe at Baker St, few Oxford in here but not as many as we expected!
Looking forward to this one. Hopefully the team performs in front of a big away following. A win would leave us with only three more required to achieve promotion, imo.

At first everyone thought it had hit the side netting.

The boy had a foot like a traction engine at times, unfortunately had pace to match
