Lots of clubs.........abroad.
I quite like the whole idea and ideology around this type of atmosphere but in this country, at present, it's illegal.
If those who wish to continue to set off smoke bombs away (and some of you post on this forum) then it is you who will be responsible for club fines or points deductions. Over-the-top it may sound, but the club warned this last week on the official website and has done also in the past, particularly when we were in the Conference.
Sorry but that's the cold facts.

And unfortunately the cold hard truth of the matter is that as it stands it's illegal. Like it or not until a time when the law change is an offence to even carry fireworks or pyro at sporting events and if caught you run the risk of a banning order, fine, club fines and sanctions and even a stint doing time. Is the potential of 3 months in prison really worth it for 10 seconds of yellow and blue smoke?

I don't think the use of the words such as 'flares' or 'bombs' are particularly helpful or accurately descriptive of what is used at our matches. It does make the local magistrate think it's something along the lines of what a terrorist might use though.

Also while this country may be over the top with health and safety they are certainly very relaxed abroad.
I love smoke bombs but at some games they can be savage. As a 'youngster' without any health problems it doesn't bother me but I can imagine if you have respiratory issues then they must be a nightmare.
Also one other thing I will point out is of all the pictures shown abroad they are in massive open stands. Nothing like luton for example or brentford where the smoke is thick and hangs around a lot longer.
I personally love them but be careful lads and pick and choose wisely.

What would happen if people started letting off flares in the south stand?

What would happen if people started letting off flares in the south stand? I don't know, but as there have never been any flares let off in any of the stands at the Kassam, then I don't think you need to worry about it.

Don't know how to post a photo but it's out in the public domain.

It's illegal, we all agree. I'm against them yet I accept that some want them.
The issue is, we have had them let off in 50% of our games this season. So why? Why should people show a complete disregard to other supporters and our football club?

Regrettably lost my dad due to this nonsense.
If I had a flare perhaps he would have been able to find me.
