More like promoting season tickets and the player awards! He's right though the fans support has been outstanding I hope the club manages to fulfill its ambitions of building a promotion chasing squad. They are really bigging up next season so I hope it lives up to the hype.

They are really bigging up next season so I hope it lives up to the hype. What do you expect them to do? Say 'next season looks hard and we'll struggle.' Not going to sell many season tickets is it! Its good to see these emails continuing to come out though. I think this kind of pro-active marketing is definately the way to go and should be pushed at every opportunity. After all sending out a few thousand emails costs next to nothing so if it only encourages a couple of hundered people to attend or renew their STs its got to be a good thing.

I agree LG but I have not got a huge amount of faith that we will be successful in this aim as we already have a mid-table budget and next season clubs with bigger budgets are coming up and down into our league. Now I appreciate what IL said in today's OM about giving Wilder the budget he needs but when you read it in full he says they will need to increase revenue levels to accommodate this and that's no mean feet.

I was surprised he thanked me as my support this season has been sloppy to say the least. Just 1 away game for me all season + i missed the odd home game.
If anything he should be bollocking me......

I think some of our fans need to get past budget as the arbitor of success. Stanley and Stevenage must have pretty small budgets and they are in the playoffs while sheffield united, who must have one of the larger budgets in the championship, have been relegated. Obviously having loadsa money to buy players helps but it is not the be all and end all as some on here seem to think.

You obviously got the wrong e-mail. Mine said the turnstile operator had noticed 6 unused stubs in my ST book and the ticket office couldn't trace any away ticket sales so my support was pretty pathetic and I need to up my game next season! ;D ;D

Got the email form and thought fair enough pennies in the pot and all that. Have been umming and arring over the old dinner actually.
Anyone going or been to one before? Can't believe the money I have left this far through the month with no games coming up now so thought I might do the £45 as I get paid the following week.
Am up for a bit of a doo and p!ss up but sort of got the feeling that it may be a bit of a saddos united one corner players etc in the other. Can't see it being a mixture of staff and fans.
