should go to west ham. Its right on their door-step. plus you feel that this is West Hams only chance to get a bigger stadium whereas tottenham have other options.
when you consider how much the olympics will cost the country anyway, 95m is nothing especially as the athletics types will still have their stadium.

Plus Tottenham should stay in Tottenham and develop their existing site.
Not sure if it will work out for W Ham though. Stadium may lack atmosphere and seats too far from the pitch. They should look into some retractable seating or something.

Why should the taxpayer pay 95 million for a new ground for a football club that has a ground that is perfectly adequate for the size of club that plays there? They will never fill it especially with their spells in the championship which they will always have. If Tottenham can move their without it costing the taxpayer a fortune then let them go there, also Crystal Palace would be fine for athletics - a sport that would never sell the stadium out again after the olympics.

Its bang out of order that Tottenham want to move to another part of London. If I were a Spurs fan I would be absolutely fuming. I cannot believe the men in charge at Spurs are willing to take the club away from its home and fans, as if it was some sort of franchise.

I pity any fans who try and watch football in the Olympic stadium as it is, it's a rubbish design, couldn't be further from the action. That said spurs shouldn't go either, they already have everything in place to re develop the area they are in.
Basically they promised a legacy but don't seem to have actually put any thought about legacy into the design of the stadium. Why make it circular!

2 quick points.
1. Where did you get £95 million from? I knew they were borrowing 40 million from the local council but that was to be paid back.
2. The whole situation is devaluing the games and this should have been sorted a long time ago (before the stadium was built). A club could then have strategically planned the move and negotiated costs (ala Man City) and the design could have been made so easily adapted.
As far as the stadium goes, I am with West Ham. Only in the UK could we have the honour of hosting the Olympic games, with the athletics track being the major focal point......and then want to knock it immediately down.
I find it embarrassing and IOC must be looking and thinking, maybe we should have gone with the US bid.....

Exactly, how can spend years building a stadium and then try and decide what you are going to do with it 6 months before it opens. Craziness.

That's the main issue with west ham getting it. Regardless of what it costs they will move from one of the most characterful stadiums in the league to a soulless bown not designed for football which will not benefit the club because as a championship club (which is what they are likely to be from next season) they will be unable to attract new fans to fill it and will drive others away because of the total unsuitability of grounds with athletics track to support football. I really can't understand why they want to move away from WHL, except perhaps that the facilities are a little bit outmoded. Surely though, it would be more appropriate, less injurious to the fanbase, and cheaper to renovate the existing facilities rather than shaft the fans as they seem to be planning.

Most West ham fans oppose the move and would rather stay at upton park its just Sullivan, Gold and Brady who are pushing for it. Why a club would move to a stadium its own fanbase dont want to is a strange one. Saying that dont think Spurs fans are keen either on a move to the place but they have enough support around the country to fill it so you can see why Levy wants to go there for the extra revenue.
Its a cock up leaving it so late to decide who will have the stadium, I think they realise that whatever decision they make will be unpopular so are shitting it about announcing one.
Interestingly most stadiums used for the more recent games are underused afterwards. Athletics doesnt have the pulling power to bring in the crowds frequently and other sports are put off by running tracks.

Thats not much further than the distance from Headington to the Kassam. But its ridiculous to knock down the Olympic stadium so I'm with West Ham even though watching football there will be awful
